It's interesting El Miz is there in a brewery but won't wear the rainbow stuff..Hoover Attack wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 9:23 pm Poor Aaron walking around a boozer in full kit amongst a load of peed up Orient fans.
Of course. You and E10quence will be front of the queue
Yeah it’s not a bad shirt in and of itself but the more I think about the more it’s a bit of a pisstake eh?Long slender neck wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 10:04 pm Basically the same as the last home braces shirt only two years ago
The event will have been Meyba’s (presumably promoting the kit - including launching it - was part of the package which won them the deal).Rich Tea Wellin wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 11:03 pmYeah it’s not a bad shirt in and of itself but the more I think about the more it’s a bit of a pisstake eh?Long slender neck wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 10:04 pm Basically the same as the last home braces shirt only two years ago
Essentially a copy and paste from two years ago with the badge in a different place. But with a fancy video, song and launch party. All a bit wierd by the club.
No one’s gonna give a sh*t about the shirt in a few weeks but always slightly grating that the club can never seen the quite get this sort of thing right every year.
Don’t disagree but surely the club has final say on shirt design? The Reverend wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2026 12:06 amThe event will have been Meyba’s (presumably promoting the kit - including launching it - was part of the package which won them the deal).Rich Tea Wellin wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 11:03 pmYeah it’s not a bad shirt in and of itself but the more I think about the more it’s a bit of a pisstake eh?Long slender neck wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 10:04 pm Basically the same as the last home braces shirt only two years ago

Orient are the only EFL club Meyba currently produce. How they managed to oust a giant like Puma is interesting - I’d love to know what their pitch was. With this context in mind, it explains the choice of design. As a new brand, in a new market, with their first EFL contract they have the choice to either go bold and totally change it up or keep it conservative and don’t rock the boat too much.
Given the truism that you won’t ever please all fans, ever I suppose they basically had to calculate if the risk of going bold and f*cking it up was worse than keeping it same-y and having people moan that it’s underwhelming.
The braces on the shorts is clearly something they’ve added as a low risk “something different”.
The fact is that this will either be Meyba’s one and only foray into the English market or it’ll be the first kit of a brand who grow into the market over the next few years to challenge the better known names.
Quality is definitely lower. The stitching, in particular, is really poor in places - reminiscent of the cheap knock-off kits you can get from China/Thailand.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2026 12:18 amDon’t disagree but surely the club has final say on shirt design? The Reverend wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2026 12:06 amThe event will have been Meyba’s (presumably promoting the kit - including launching it - was part of the package which won them the deal).Rich Tea Wellin wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 11:03 pm

Considering we were always led to believe that we were restricted in our design options by bigger firms as we had to fit in with templates, to then bring out basically the same design puma made for us 2 seasons ago is a bit strange.
The shirt is a hell of a lot better than last seasons and most seasons in the last ten years but expected a bit more and I’d assume quality is lower and already stating that there might not be womens fit shirts either so limited options for fans at the same price point
They said they were going to go retro and have gone with one braces and one chevron shirt, the two classic Orient kits.

It’s just braces. We’ve had it lots of times, not just 2 years ago. I’m fine with that.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 11:03 pmYeah it’s not a bad shirt in and of itself but the more I think about the more it’s a bit of a pisstake eh?Long slender neck wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 10:04 pm Basically the same as the last home braces shirt only two years ago
