At home most of today, so getting LP's on...

Beastie Boys- Paul's Boutique - - Under-rated; arguably their best: a fun, funky, workout from start to finish..

Chemical Brothers - Dig your own Hole : still banging, after all these (many) years; albeit lacks subtlety in places..

Quantic - Atlantic Oscillations : lurches from House to Jazz to Calypso to Funk, and stays just the right side of noodly throughout..

Howie B - Turn the Dark Off : trip-hop pea soup. Seriously dark, but consistently creative..

The subtitles for this beautiful piece contain some block script as well as a literal, and therefore occasionally peculiar, English translation.

As an old folkie, currently listening/watching the latest edition (#63) of Winter Wilsons's Live from the Lounge which they have been recording all through lockdown. The latest one has the tracks from their new album Passing of the Storm, the title track (first track on the video) of which is a cracking, politically astute song.

I enjoyed Cerys Matthew’s BBC6 Cuba music special this morning. Probably my favourite radio show these days.

This is just what the world needs: The Smiths Rickrolled! gave me a big smile. Moany Johnny Marr wasn’t so keen, apparently.
