Olle Palmer scores again for Crawley. I wish we still had him here.
I also supported Palmer when he was here as did Chingford Red, but we were in the minority and got our fair share of flack for it.
I just liked him as a real honest trier and thought his finishing would improve with experience. I notice those on here who put him down all the time made no mention of him last week when he scored 2 against us.
I was a Palmer fan too - always gave it his all and was still developing - real shame we had to lose him.

Special mention for Happe who done a job at LB then was superb when back in his natural position.
Good second half, all the ball without creating too much, draw was a fair result.

I called the score. Didn't get the scorer right though.

So Happe did play left back. You are not laughing now. He will replace Ling at right back in a few weeks.

Sadly , the main reason is we lost JE . We'll end up having to bring in an experienced manager anyway so why not do it now . It will give the new manager time to sort us out .
If we're smart we've been doing some discreet but extremely thorough homework on potential replacements. If we're bleedin' daft we've decided to leave Ross in charge until it becomes absolutely necessary to can him and bring in a replacement. My opinion only and counts for noubt but I just don't see Ross cutting it. I know that he's a reasonably decorated coach but he doesn't exude authority, calmness, leadership and nous. You don't have to have been a great player to be a great manager but if you weren't you need to generate the respect and authority some other way and I don't get the sense that anyone is particularly in awe of Ross Embleton.
After listening to Nigel and Kent , my guess is it would be the former. I would like to think they have two or three people already in mind but we might have to hit 24th spot first .
Salford didnt lose a head coach/manager
Salford spent big again before the seaeon
Six games in we are still above our
promotion rivals from last year .
Thats a fair display from a fella who has
been thrown into a situation he didnt want .
Hed rather be JE's Coach , but he's not.
Sterling work 6 games in considering
What was unforseen circumstances in april.

Streamed it. Did well second half, get the sense on what I’ve seen so far this season, we’ll be absolutely fine, whilst probably not pulling up any trees.
Play a nice possession style game that suits this league more than the NL but we can be frustrating on the eye because long spells of possession often lead to very little. Impressed how we never gave up in search of the equaliser today though. Hope Brophy/Coulson injuries aren’t too serious as they’re key.
The goal was
. Worth watching the highlights for it alone. Their keeper swivels around whilst on the floor and kicks it into his own net

Literally throws it into his own net, only the second craziest GK moment against us though... that honour still goes to the Sutton keeper with the keepy-uppy attempt

The funny thing is we’re at our most dangerous and actually score goals when counted attacking quickly. All the hall and we create nothing, a quick turnover and hit teams on the break and we score.

I think we were due a little bit of luck.

OMG, what a coincidence, same result as last season even to us getting an own goal; scored for us in the dying minutes !!
August 4th 2018 at 12.30pm UK at The Peninsula Stadium (Salford, Greater Manchester) Salford City 1-1 Leyton Orient
Gaffney (47') scored for Salford,
Hogan (88' og.) for Leyton Orient !!

I'd take the home result if the league positions are the same at the end this season as last season (we can dream can't we
)

Pleased with a point after a very poor first half display , how on earth did Dennis miss his chance ?? if he had scored that sitter as he should have we may have well nicked a win ☹

1 - 1 was my prediction. But I thought I was being very optimistic.
So very happy with the point.
Let's just have a mid table season with no worries please.

He sure did.
After he'd spilled the ball our forwards did well to pressurise him and force the error.
Matt Harrold spoke of the plan to do exactly this in his post-match interview.
