Good win against Mansfield everyone feeling positive the perfect time for Ogie to play.
I agree. I would be happy enough to see Ogie in the squad now that Widdowson is out. Young Sweeney too. Well, one of them will do.
If the management don't trust them to come in and cover when required what's the point of giving them pro contracts? Not like they've looked out of place in the game time they've had either.

We were as good as down to 10 men when Alabi came on !!
That's got nothing to do with my question. You just threw your usual hissy fit because you can't help but act like a child when things don't go our way.
Oh so losing 3-2 to Crawley was things going your way, your weird and clearly devoid of rightful emotion.
Again, you just don't have the brainpower to understand a simple point. I've not said anything about today's result going our way. I'm just mature enough to not have a strop at every little thing that goes against us. Shame that you're not.

Sweeney played in one of the cups I think it was last season.

Bringing Alabi on to play on the right was bizarre. What was worse was they aimed every long ball at him. What has he done in the year he's been here to show that he can win the ball in the air and hold up play? He can't do it. Tactically naive, tried to force a goal by throwing everyone forward but couldn't control possession.

Orient didn't play well yesterday apart from a couple of spells - mainly down to Brophy, Clay, Dennis and Angol being positive and playing the ball along the ground. There's no clear way that Orient play. They're already into their 3rd formation of the season. The ball rarely goes through the midfield, they just try and pick up the 2nd ball. It's pointless having 2 players that can pass if the CBs just launch it into the channels. Speaking of the defence. I don't know what's happened to them but Coulson (top scorer in open play since January) and Ekpiteta were like headless chickens in their own box today, it's not for the first time this season.

It's been clear for a long time that they need a right back. Ling isn't good enough, Judd is very raw, Turley 'does a job' there. That right back hasn't come - doesn't take a genius to work out why. It was clear they needed a couple of midfielders, one of those only came this week.

A game completely thrown away. An example of tactical ineptness from our Interim management.

Another circus 🎪 has arrived in town
The ineptness of 11 players threw the game away
I’d love to know what games some of you actually watch

It was our defence that threw that game away yesterday , not our midfield or attack. I'm still trying to get over that horrendous third goal. All our defenders had their backs towards Palmer who simply ran in unchallenged to score . I hope our defence doesn't start becoming our problem area .

Suspect we were watching different games. Going forward we were great to watch yesterday and if we had taken a couple of our chances the game would have been out of sight

I thought first half was great, other than the score line. Second half less so after they equalised and went in front, and we lost our way. But lots of potential to be excited about.

Absolutely . They look like two very exciting players and early indications are their our two best players. I've just watching the Ollie Palmer after match interview on You Tube and I've got to say I've got a lot of respect for Ollie. I wish him every success season , except of course for when they play us at Crawley . :D

What have we learned so far?
With five at the back, four and a half games - one goal
With four at the back, one and a half games - five goals and vastly more entertaining to watch.
It has been well documented that for five to work you need wing backs which we don't have.
It must equally be said that for four to work you need full backs that can defend and with Brophy and Judd we were found wanting.
Maybe when Widdowson and Ling are back it may be an improvement.
It was also disappointing to see Marvin struggling. Early days yet but he seems to be the player finding most difficulty in stepping up to league two.
Would Dan be better? Possibly but with Josh there would be a worrying lack of pace.
All in all quite a dilemma for our coaching staff to grapple with.

I largely agree. Been thinking about this and have concluded that there is an imbalance in the squad. We have the defenders for 5-3-2 (personally I think Brophy and Ling are OK as wing-backs, but no cover) and forwards better suited to 4-4-2 (you wouldn't have four wingers in a squad set up for 5-3-2). No wonder Ross doesn't know his best formation.

We also missed Timmo forking around at half time. Lils looked lost without his partner and didn't really put much of a shift in tbf.

Don't want to harp on about it but Ling was totally at fault for the first. Never anticipated the ball being shifted left (his area) and stood off the attacking player allowing him loads of time to get the pass into the six yard box. I've noticed a few times in teh last few of games his tendency to tuck in and allow wingers way too much space.

Standby for the aliases set up by club employees to leap to his defence.
