Huddersfield lost again. They are in a bit of freefall atm which is a good result for us
I think we're still sixth . Got to beat Charlton on Saturday . Hopefully we'll have a decent and fair Ref

Tbf we have to remember that it was going to be hard to get anything out of tonight regardless. It’s hard to take considering the circumstances but 3 points against Charlton was always the important thing this week
And we'll be stronger on Saturday by virtual we'll have 11 men on the pitch .
We’ve also effectively rested Kelman, Markandy, abduali and Williams. As well as given ageyi 55 mins for the first time in ages. Some positives to take.

Sweeney having to play the next 3 matches isn’t the best news from tonight either

After that soft penalty decision on Saturday and the red card tonight it certainly feels like it .

Hopefully Simpson might also be okay for Saturday too?

Funny , that's what I've just said to my son . We've got to start another good run starting with Charlton on Saturday

I haven't a problem with Sweeney because he's a good player . It's just that Jack Currie is better .

That's been a tough listen. Well done O's in the face of the best side in L1. I wonder how things would have turned out if we'd kept 11 men on the pitch. Still in 6th place and all to play for on Saturday. Come on O's!!!

Sweeney isn't L1 standard being brutal, teams target him down that side so Richie will need to pick someone to basically double up. Three games without Currie is worse than being down to 10 tonight.

Always going to be tough, even more so playing 80 minutes with 10, never expected any points, just a big shame Currie is out for Saturday

The club should appeal against that red because it was ridiculous.

Good team, the Brummies, but what an incompetent ref. If he'd not been bullied into Curry's red card we'd have seen a great game.... Possibly with the same result but much more palatable. Need to beat the Addicks though.

He’s completely bottled it. If he doesn’t see it then he shouldn’t give a red. If he did see it he shouldn’t give a foul.
Woeful officiating has lost us the game and completely ruined the spectacle.
So bad.

I take it that any appeal the club might make contesting the red card would be adjudicated before the Charlton game?

It will be interesting to hear what Richie has to say because I reckon he'll be fuming . The reporter at the game for Sky Sports really pissed me off this evening . Said Birmingham had a good defence and we didn't look like scoring . Of course we fcuking didn't because we had a man harshly sent off and had to sacrifice our attacking options to patch up our defence .

I think the Linesman who was very close actually gave us a throw.
The Birmingham players really behaved badly and bullied the Ref into giving a Red card.

So the linesman gave us a throw in and didn't indicate a foul . That ref tonight was sh*t

Hard not to feel extremely f*cked over by that. We started well and had our legs taken out from us by a ridiculous red. Obviously it's the risk you take doing a midweek away game and you get bad decisions, but all the same, incredibly frustrating.
No point getting conspiratorial about it. You just get a consistently horrendous level of officiating throughout football.

It's getting more atrocious in this country by the week. It's very clear PGMOL isn't fit for purpose and the FA / EPL / EFL haven't got the balls to do anything about it.
