In years to come when Josh Keeley is England's first choice keeper and Harry Kane is manager, some of us will be able to say, "I was there at Brisbane Road when they scored their first senior goals"

That would be difficult given he's Irish unless you're suggesting he'll do a Declan Rice and switch

Imagine that , our keeper has to show the others how to score . Josh Keeley's goal will live long in the memory . In fact Josh was my MOTM today .I was also very pleased with Sonny Perkins . When he came on he made an immediate impact . Up until then I didn't realise we'd been playing with only ten men . What is the point of DJ. A complete waste of a shirt .

I thought their number 31 who came on was pretty handy. Reckon he’s worth a scout. Although he isn’t a freebie and seems to have functioning knees so Ling probably wouldn’t be interested.

The thing about going into extra time today is our players might end up suffering from fatigue on Tuesday night . It was already going to be a tough game now made just that bit tougher . Just to add I'm not looking forward to facing Sotiriou and Forde . One of them is bound to score against us .

We were dire today, no other way to cut it. Only players that get any real credit are Keeley, O'Neill (who looked more like the player we saw last season), Agyei for keeping at it and Sweeney for being positive even if his decision making remains awful.
What on earth has happened to Brown. He has completely lost it this year, can barely make a simple pass.

Thought Pratley battled all game and Beckles tightened things up when he came on. Would give Sweeney my MOTM.
Simpson, DJ, Kelman and Perkins were absolute dog sh*t.

Yup and chances are we won't have Pratley on Tuesday having played today so it's a midfield of Brown and Warrington again (or half-fit Ball if we're lucky)RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 7:32 pm The thing about going into extra time today is our players might end up suffering from fatigue on Tuesday night . It's one of those if you're a betting person (I'm not) putting a few quid on Forde and Ruel to score looks well worth doing.

I was convinced Wellens would get a tune out of DJ once he got up to speed and fitness, but he looked like a semi pro out there. Didn't do a single positive thing.
Donley and Perkins are your identikit modern premiership academy products. Both are young so might go onto have decent careers but they are both so peripheral and meek at the moment. Don't seem to really affect games at all and so easy to bully.

We got a result - somehow - given how bloody awful we were for most of the match. We deserved nothing to be fair but a wonder goal from our keeper - it was a brilliant header - kept us in it. Great result but by Christ, we are she-ite. Felt sorry for Adgyei who ran his bollox off.

Josh Keeley, what a header, a moment he will never forgot, gives me goosebumps every time I watch it back.
But big shout out to James, what a ball by James for the goal
Let’s hope this kickstarts a run of results and gives the players some confidence, and a boost for Tuesday v Bristol Rovers.
Could be a moment in our season we have been waiting for?

Perkins was a big improvement on DJ when he came on .Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 7:44 pmWe were indeed dire.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 7:39 pm We were dire today, no other way to cut it. Somehow in Jan, we need to find 2 attacking creative wide players, not easy at the best of times, even harder on our budget.
More than likely will be young loans coming in, so let’s hope we’re lucky and bag a couple of Shaq Fordes.

This.
For a big man he gets knocked off the ball so easily; doesn’t appear to have any pace and can’t jump. That’s just 3 reasons.

Perkins played wide right where Agyei had been playing.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 8:08 pmPerkins was a big improvement on DJ when he came on .Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 7:44 pmWe were indeed dire.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 7:39 pm We were dire today, no other way to cut it. Kelman then Donley played as the 10 where DJ had been playing.
Perkins was just as bad. Possibly turned over possession even more than DJ had.

Re: Exiles thread - Oldham Atc. (H)
How many left before the equaliser?
That sounds like a classic O’s fans day: grumbling for 89 minutes about being rubbish against a tinpot non-league side, then a one-off last gasp equaliser, head in hands at a penalty miss, finally followed by a 120th min winner. Never change, Orient

30 years ago us beating them in the cup was a giant killing. Now if they had beaten us it would have been an upset. With the exception of a handful of teams there's scope for all sorts
