I noticed Phil Parkinson walked away from Bolton. Would he be a good appointment if Orient got him ?

This would be a fantastic appointment.
Can’t see the club showing that sort of ambition.

Of course you mustn’t have a view that that is anything but positive.
It is quite obvious that the weaknesses in the team has yet to be addressed and the money is there to do so.
Is it lack of ambition?
I await the answer.

Phil Parkinson yes but the thing is, anyone who may be appointed in the future has to agree to work with the current team of football coaches and Martin Ling in his present role. Hard I would think to get any new would be manager to accept that.

An out of work manager who desperately needs a job will except it, but the chances are he will be looking to bring his own people in over time.

Our last manager did, and that worked out ok.

Justin already knew Martin Ling, they played together at Southend United, that helped. I am not saying that it would be impossible to get a new manager in, but it helps to narrow down the choices. Most football managers like to bring in their own backroom staff.

Any new Manager I would hope, would look at the tragic circumstances and would make working with the current staff work.

We are closer to the play offs than we are to relegation. Let's see where we are after a few more games before dramatic statements like that.

Another couple of games should see Campbell’s experience useful

@dOh Nut
So what is this all about ? Last week after Tuesdays game, you were singing in praise of R.E, now not even one week later, are you thinking of getting Sol Campbell in ? I take a more balanced view, unless things get really bad, surely give Ross around a 12 games or more to prove himself before any decision either way is made. IMO, without being behind the scenes to know what is going on, R.E comes across to me as more suited to being a soccer coach than a football League team manager, but down to those who actually work with the man to make the decisions, after all, that is what they are paid for.

Not sure why most on here dont favour Campbell........lets look at some facts

1..He went to Macc, with no experience, when they were bottom of the league, with a 5 point gap to the second bottom team

2 There was no money to spend

3 He saved them from relegation.....I believe they only lost 2 of their last 12 games, which is promotion form

So whats not to like there?

A dozen games you say? He sounds like just the experienced sort we need. Good shout.
