this referendum has split this country in two, to the point people actually hate each other. A pal of mines girlfriend dumped him because the family are remainers, and her family are leavers ffs...thats how bad its getting.
I know many remainers and leavers. No hatred involved, we all agree to disagree.
This statement by COYO is probably an attempt at hyperbole and as such not to be taken too seriously.
As for his pal's girlfriend: to quote the Bard, "The course of true love never did run smooth".

The Sunday Times has printed leaked government documents warning of food, medicine and fuel shortages in a no-deal scenario.
It says the cross-government paper on preparations for a no-deal Brexit, codenamed Operation Yellowhammer, reveals the UK could also face months of disruption at its ports, while plans to avoid a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are unlikely to prove sustainable.
The dossier, reported by the Sunday Times, says leaving the EU without a deal could lead to:
Fresh food becoming less available and prices rising
A hard Irish border after plans to avoid checks fail, sparking protests
Fuel becoming less available and 2,000 jobs being lost if the government sets petrol import tariffs to 0%, potentially causing two oil refineries to close
UK patients having to wait longer for medicines, including insulin and flu vaccines
A rise in public disorder and community tensions resulting from a shortage of food and drugs
Passengers being delayed at EU airports, Eurotunnel and Dover
Freight disruption at ports lasting up to three months, caused by customs checks, before traffic flow improves to 50-70% of the current rate
The government said the document was not what it expected to happen, but was an outline of scenarios being looked at as part of its no-deal preparations.

This from a Murdoch owned Arch Tory paper......................What was it the Brexiter's were saying about " Project Fear ". If we are going to jump off the cliff edge at Halloween, where do I get my parachute issued from? Brexiteers when replying, please note my penultimate sentence. ( I will explain that means next from last sentence- if you are still supporting Brexit you will obviously need that explaining to you ).

No, it's not money it's the Old Etonian, Oxfordian effect. They are brought up in this looking backwards environment and feel it is their duty to make Brittania Rule the Waves again ( a bit like Hitler )

Promised freedom of movement from EU countries to 2021 axed by this discredited government.

Can anyone believe a word they say?

The shutting of the gate on 1st November is another Churchillian gesture toward the EU just to make sure they don't offer any deal. On the surface it is a 'look we are being hard' towards the any leavers thinking of voting for the Brexit party, just as they did we the vans with 'we will find you and send you back', or words to that effect on the side, not in a language that an Illegal immigrant would be able to read but in English.

In simple terms we voted to leave, and it is obvious that there are two ways of leaving, either with a deal or without one.

Cameron promised the government would deliver on the result of the referendum (as did Her Majesty's Opposition), and over three years on they’ve failed to do so, and politicians and people are still arguing about it.

One really couldn’t make this up.

For the hard of thinking, like you, the reason they're arguing about it is because as time has gone on they've realised that a no deal brexit would ruin this country.

People who would still vote for brexit now, after all the facts that have come out since the vote, need to be taken out of the gene pool immediately.

Brexit has already seen two Prime Ministers off ( Cameron & May), & could well see a third
This is a lot of ifs and buts but this is possible. first Corbyn initiates a vote of no confidence in the government. If that is successful, then there is a 14 day period to see if someone else can form a government. Lets assume that happens.
At that point Johnson is leader of the opposition, and Brexit will have claimed its third Prime Minister
This scenario is quite possible.

Just as an aside, there will soon after, be a General Election. If the Tories lost that election, does the board think, Johnson would carry on as leader of the opposition?....or like me, think he would quit

The trouble is we have a spineless set of Politicians. Lib leader & some Tories say that no-deal Brexit is end of World. But refuse to vote no confidence to make Corbyn PM. That is ridiculous as it is only a means to an end ( delay Brexit & get General Election ). If Corbyn tried to seizure power for his Marxist ideals, he would be in a worse position than Boris. This is sheer piffle. Time to pick up your gardening implements and take to the streets.

Only one generation. Can’t wait for the racist old f*ckers to die off.
The idea that it's all the fault of the oldies is simplistic to say the least. Yes, as age increased the Leave vote increased but this impact is skewed by the very low turnout of the youngest group of voters (the strongest supporters of Remain). In the 18-24 age group the turnout was only 36% - only just over 1 in 3 (73% in favour of Remain). Turnout in the 25-35 age group was still only 58% (62% in favour of Remain)

The turnout in the 2 oldest groups (55-64 and 65+) are both in the early 80%'s (57% and 60% leave respectively)

It could easily be argued that if the younger voters had got off their arses and voted then we would have had a very different result. I'm not raising this as a finger pointing exercise but it is appropriate to point out that it's not just the oldies who bear the blame for the shitfest we're going through.

With you there all the way and it's probably why there hasn't been a second vote. Even if the Leave vote remained solid (for some reason I certainly can't fathom) then I believe it would have been swept away by the upsurge in the younger Remain vote. Hey-ho, life truly is a sh*t sandwich.
