Unfortunately this is why we needed to bring in an experienced forward. Perfect situation to bring on someone that has a bit about themselves and can hold the ball. Not a 19 year old kid with no professional games coming on against a big back 3
The point is, those young loanees would offer more than Pigott, one time, Moncs ran with the ball and gave it to Pigott in the penalty area and he just stood there not knowing what to do and the defender just came and took it off him. I'm sure one of the loanees would have done better.

Can’t believe we lost this game.
Cruising at 1-0 after 87mins
Players worked so hard, gutted for the players as we did not deserve to lose this one, 1-1 probably a fair result.
Oh well we go again Tues
Curse of the MOM strikes again 🤦🏻‍♂️

Annoying but not that bothered
May as well give the two loan lads some game time upfront now
Can’t do any worst than pigot.
Indeed, that should be the final straw today

Ironically, we restricted them much better in the second half just caught out by a long straight ball down the middle and a free kick where two of their players ran in unmarked.

DOH , OK halfwit ,perhaps it's because Richie knows a bit more than you about football
Pigott is a bigger lump to throw long balls to try and hold it up and relieve pressure than an 18 or 20 year old would be.
Still think Piggot can come on and hold the ball up & relive pressure 🤔

I don’t disagree that Pigott is a waste of space. The point is we could have had an experienced pro instead of two young loanees, who Richie doesn’t trust.

We were absolutely not cruising. We were under the cosh for the second 45, and Brynn kept us in it for long periods. The stats say it all. It was proper backs to the wall for the last 30 mins but after the equaliser we let our heads drop. I thought we did amazingly well seeing as we lost Happe after 12 minutes as well.

Yeah it’s annoying and I hate losing as much as anyone, especially to late goals but we go again on Tuesday. Let’s hope Happe and Ruel’s injuries aren’t that bad.

Heartbreaking to lose so near the end.

We stopped attacking with half an hour to go. Once Sotiriou went off to be replaced by our resident donkey, that was the end of an attacking threat.

You cant defend for that long against a good side like Barnsley......what works against Port Vale isnt gonna work against a side with loads more quality.

More importantly, im concerned about the injuries we have now. Not sure if all sides get so many, or we're a bit unlucky with the number we've had this season

Just not up to it.
Rather see one of the young loans out there

We struggled because we were playing with nine men plus Dan Hap going off but let’s be frank we shouldn’t loose against ten men and it’s not the first time we’ve played badly against ten men.

Well that was the theory but he did it extremely poorly, time to cut our losses and look to move him on in summer. Drinan would've done a better job that's for sure.

No idea if the stats are accessible to the public but it does feel like we get more hamstring strains than most clubs

Richie won’t know he can trust them until he gives them a chance. I would have given Edward’s his chance instead of Pigott

He sees them every day and is an experienced manager.
I get it, after seeing Piggot’play’ but away at one of the best teams in the league when you have your backs against the wall, it isn’t really fair to throw a kid out there against 3 big CBs

Let’s hope Happe & Ruel injuries are not serious.
Maybe Tues the 2 young Loanees will get their well overdue chance to impress RW, especially if Ruel is injured.
I just hope if Ruel is injured, RW doesn’t start with Piggot on Tues, if I was one of the Loanees, and Piggot was picked again ahead of me, I would be asking to go back to my club.

I have been saying for weeks I prefer Drinan to Pigott. I feel sorry for Pigott but he now looks like only a shell of a player.

You have to be a complete Dimwit to suggest Richie should have put on one of the kids up top.

Our forward line was inexperienced enough as it was with Ruel, ONeill and Shaqford.

That’s a worry as Beckles just back from injury
Cooper on
RW won’t be happy, this is why he didn’t want Turns to leave.
We've been so unlucky with injuries this season its ridiculous . Considering we're currently ninth , if it wasn't for our injury problems I'm sure we'd already be in the play off spots .
There has been some bad luck I accept, but most of it comes down to having to over load the players we do have, bring them back earlier than we should etc.

Oh f**k off.

Long overdue? They’ve been here 1 week and had what, 2 or 3 training sessions max with the squad.

I’m fully aware of Piggot limitations but if Ruel is out, he’s our only option.
