Ratings if anyone is interested:
Sargent 6
Ling 5
Ekpiteta 6
Happe 5
Coulson 5
Widdowson 5
Brophy 6
Wright 7
Shabani 4
Soutiriou 5
Harrold 5
Subs:
Judd 6
Alabi 5
Thank you.
Was that 3-5-2 with Brophy central?
Not a clue. I was trying to work out our formation. 3-5-2 is a good a guess as any. Was standing behind Ross who was relaying instructions about moving players about. Though I moved on after 30 minutes. Seemed he was trying things out on the hoof. Fair enough for a friendly.
Who impressed you?

I thought Brendon Shabani played well - apart from one time when he was caught in possession. Definitely worth more than a 4.

I thought Sargent did well enough. The Happe, Coulson, Ekpiteta trio were solid and Widdowson got forward well but can’t shoot. But after that, nobody really stood out. More like a training session really.
Was impressed by the ground and the bar, not to mention the burger and fries, and their electronic score board.

Thanks. It sounds like the yoof will get their chances this year due to our reluctance to get players in.
Wonder where Bonne and Koroma’s transfer money has gone?

Sounds like a decent day out - apart from the football.

I enjoyed it to be honest. The prematch stout in the Dartford Jug slipped down a treat too. Never expected too much football wise. Which is what we got.

Hilarious to see certain boarders losing their minds because we only won 2 0 in a friendly.
We got a clean sheet with essentially our first choice back line and were less than fluid going forwards with a mix of fringe players and youth team graduates- what a surprise.
In all honesty, all our defenders were a 6, all our forwards were a 5.
Please do yourselves a favour and calm down.

If people are losing their minds because we only scored two it’s equally hilarious that people get excited because we kept a clean sheet against lower opposition
We all fecking know it was a meaningless friendly so let’s not get too carried away that we kept a clean sheet against lower opposition.

I'm not getting excited trust me.
You say we all know it was meaningless, but look back through this thread and you will see quite clearly that some don't.

Meaningless goals wise but a chance for fringe players to impress Ross. Like the three forwards and the kids. But none did which was an opportunity lost.

Who said that, not me. But an opportunity to impress and push on. I dare say they will get more chances, the kids anyway, to develop. As for Harold and Alabi. With a new striker rumoured they did themselves no favours for the season.
