Obscene sentence for causing a delay on a motorway. Some rapists have received similar sentences. I hope they appeal.

In your expert legal opinion what do you think would be an appropriate sentence?

Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't realise I had to be a legal expert to find that sentence ridiculous.

You don’t, I just thought you must have legal training based on your post

What do you think would be an appropriate sentence and why?

You clearly feel strongly this a miscarriage of justice that requires an appeal.

Not biting C&C. It's a ridiculous sentence but I can't be arsed to waste time discussing with you. No offence.

Yeah, they're some pretty dumb - and unhelpful - comparisons.

In that case I’ll take the judgement of a crown court judge on legal matters over angry old man on internet

No offence

Even a judge who did not give a police officer who raped a woman when she was drunk a prison sentence. Describing his actions as "a moment of madness" ?

His judgement seems sound and will be overturned on appeal.

Over 51,000 hours of driver delays does that help ?
People missed flights, medical appointments, and exams.

That sentence is ludicrous. We are more like a police state everyday and I don’t even support just stop oil.

If the rest of the JSO activists truly believe in their convictions, they'll double-down with even more disruptive protests. Afterall, the climate catastrophe matters more then doing a bit of time. I've even joined the local JSO WhatsApp group to suggest as much, and that I'll be behind them all the way if they do.

I look forward to seeing you hanging off a motorway bridge in the near future.

For all that people moan about the nanny state and supposed erosion of freedoms (Health and Safety gone mad! You can't say anything any more! The Muslims are banning Christmas!) they seem pretty keen on ushering in most of the things that you'd get under a Police state or outright dictatorship.

I think JSO are approaching this the wrong way. They reckon that at current consumption rates, oil will run out in about 30 years time. I think JSO should encourage people to use double the oil and it would all be gone in 15 years. Job done.

On what legal basis?
Bias and misdirection by the judge together with abuse of process.
