Orient Preference
We have played in the top 5 levels of professional football. But what level would you prefer us to play in?
A top level team like Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea
A mid range Prem team like West Ham
A Fulham like club, maybe Brentford or QPR. Good but never at the real top
A Charlton or Millwall type team
Perhaps Barnet or Dagenham
Saturday for me is (mostly) a good day out. I’ve long since accepted the Prem is a step too far and to be honest I’m not sure it’s what I want any more. At the other end I will never watch NL football again with the Os
My ambition is to watch us play Championship football, maybe mid table, with the odd flirtation with promotion. And crowds in a ground capable of 12,000 to 15,000. The chance to watch quality players, enjoy a good day out and decent but not too large crowds.
Will it happen? Who knows.

Re: Orient Preference
Like we use to have it in the 70s would be prefered, Championship football that is.
Playing big clubs regularly in front of decent crowds, some great away trips, the odd cup run etc.
Happy days.

Re: Orient Preference
Actually I quite enjoyed our time in the NL. New grounds to visit, some proper fans, and some decent performances in the second season. And I like to think that we didn’t act up as the big boys and generally treated the league with respect. I’m not saying I want to return to that level any time soon, but it made me realise that your team is still your team, no matter what level you’re at.

Re: Orient Preference
Championship even if we were a yo-yo club like Rotherham (name said with gnashed teeth) between top end of L1 and Championship. But a season or two in the Premier League with the chance to beat Wet Spam in the Olympic Stadium would be very good. That is if Wet Spam are in the Premier League when we are. I’d take beating them at the Olympic Stadium in any League

Re: Orient Preference
One of my life ambitions is to see Orient in the championship. Which is partly why the playoff was just so hard to take (and still is really). We were so close. I think we'll do it one day, but i reckon it could be 20 odd years. It will be a moment to savour, thats for sure.
Prem would obviously be a laugh but I dont think its realistic and tbh i think you'd lose a lot of what is great about the match day experience.
