Re: Coronavirus
It's fairly clear language.
Onset means the appearance of symptoms.
Incubation period is the period before symptoms appear.
Would you like me to link to a dictionary so you can check?

Re: Coronavirus
I'm not liking the figures that are beginning to rise big time.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
I also noticed this and the explosion in Northern Italy and parts of Eastern Spain, notably Valencia.

I guess this could only happen in America.

Re: Coronavirus
Does anyone know If that figure is impacted by the recent changes in how deaths are recorded and reported, or is it an actual leap?

Re: Coronavirus
The changes to the stats were made on Wednesday, meaning figures reported on Wednesday were for less than a 24 hour period and yesterdays were for longer. The ones today were for a 24 hour period again.

Yeah, I was afraid that might be the case.Mick McQuaid wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 8:55 pm The changes to the stats were made on Wednesday, meaning figures reported on Wednesday were for less than a 24 hour period and yesterdays were for longer. The ones today were for a 24 hour period again.

Re: Coronavirus
I noticed a couple of countries lockdowns have just got much, much tighter. Ireland has put a 2km limit on how far you can roam from home: might be a problem in rural areas with no local shop, but I guess the garda wont be around to enforce it in those places. And RSA has decided no going out for booze or fags. Not sure that’s a good idea - anybody living with someone forced to go cold turkey on their usual addictive habit is gonna cop some abuse (and that means a lot of people).
Still can’t see clearly which way the US is going on dealing with the virus. Trump seems to flip flop on strategy/intentions every few hours. If they aren’t careful it could be chaos out there in the hotspots.

He has no empathy. He has wrecked everything he has ever been involved in as you know he knows better than the experts. A real "Stable Genius".

Re: Coronavirus
Yet his popularity ratings stay stable. Odd that. In fact despite his mediocre ratings they have reached an all time high in the past couple of days.
Experts put this down to his handling of the Coronavirus situation which has a 60% approval rating. But what do,they know!
Interestingly Boris Johnson ratings have also improved following his management of Coronavirus. What do we know!

Re: Coronavirus
Every leader/President gets an initial boost when you have a national emergency/crisis. A "We are in this together moment". If your not up to the job or don't have a competent team around you, you'll eventually be found out. When people see friends and loved ones being caught up in this crises they will eventually get off the cult(cannot be 100% on that as Nazi style propaganda is working overboard). By a long shot, he is the most corrupt, clearly off the head president that ever walked. That "Conman Clown" will do anything and I mean "anything" to stay out of jail.Redline wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 9:33 amYet his popularity ratings stay stable. Odd that. Re: Coronavirus
I read that home sales have been put on hold. A caller on the radio yesterday said, they can’t pull out, can’t move in and were now paying rent along with a mortgage and can’t get access to their new home.Digby Chicken Caesar wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 8:57 am I'm moving house in 2 weeks, gonna be a laugh ☹
Saying that, my neighbour hot footed it out last night so her sale went through.

Re: Coronavirus
For sure. What you say is correct-in terms of national crisis. Though Chamberlain May disagree. Happy to let history judge the people in charge and that is exactly what we should be doing. What is happening now however is people judging him/them based on personal bias. I have absolutely no idea if what he/they are doing is fantastic or poo poo.RoryRocks wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 9:55 amEvery leader/President gets an initial boost when you have a national emergency/crisis. I’m happy for history to be the judge once this crisis is over. That is the time for the post mortem.
