The whole point of the applause was to say thank you to the people who work for the organisation, we know there are issues for the NHS lots of them and we know why they were caused, Shame that people want to politicise every small gesture, last night on our street we stood together (figuratively speaking) as one to show our thanks in one of two ways we can (the other is staying at home) and it didn't matter what your politics are, it was a community saying thanks to the staff not a political endorsement or statement just a plain and simple "Thank You"

I think they get a discount on tickets, or they used to and I know our club are usually very good at This type of thing anyway.
I heard that Brighton are giving away 1,000 tickets next season for example.
I’ve just come back from my street door was pleasantly surprised that most of my neighbours were out joining in with the clapping.
Heard zero on Whipps X Road
There's hardly any houses on whipps x road cos a hospital is there.
Huh? The Hospital is off Whipps X Road

Whipps X Rd is approximately 1,491 metres long
Believe me there’s plenty of houses
Bizarre

That’s lovely.

Can you all make sure you thank them properly at the next election though. By not voting the tories back in? Cheers.

How do you report someone for not clapping? is it the same hotline as for those who do not observe national poppy day?

Asking for a friend.

See what I mean, just proves my point.

Don't want to get drawn in but I suppose the Labour Party now have 4+ years to get their house in order and put up a leader more electable than Corbyn that might help if there was a real choice for folks to make.

I reckon there is a leftie list of names being drawn up...first up against the wall come the revolution - it seems thanking the NHS staff is an endorsement for the govt in their eyes.

Starts just off the green man roundabout tuffers finishes just past Hospital Rd where the little bus station/hub is

Orient Way I’m not sure about that’s near Brisbane Rd I thought it was the new link Rd where Asda is etc I know you can get up to lea Bridge Rd if you drive cycle etc no idea where it goes after that

I used to get a bus from leytonstone back home & as you come off the roundabout toward whipps x road there are road markings or a sign ( cant remember which ) that says Orient Way ( although could be walk or similar) .

Ill have to pop up & have a look after lockdown finishes .
I always thought it strange for it to be there .

Would happily pay more tax to go straight to the NHS, I don't know anyone who wouldn't.but again you politicising a gesture of thanks to the people within the NHS.

Dangerous to assume things specially about people you don't even know, I mean I could assume from your posts you are the worlds most miserable man as you never post anything positive about anything.

Approximately 1,491 metres long? Come on, surely you can be a bit more precise than that? Are you talking 1,491m and 10 centimetres or 20 cm? Give us a clue man!
