Clapping, whilst a nice gesture, doesn't help. Funding and support from our government as well as better wages and proper equipment will go a lot further.
and what do you know or are you just presuming again . Take a look round our hospital car park , lots of new cars there . As far as the hospital is concerned we have enough equipment in normal times but I suppose your one of those who would have 50 snow ploughs lined up in case it ever snows again in London.
Equipment ,especially electronic equipment goes out of date very quickly and there aren't enough areas to store the sort of equipment we would require . Take off your rose tinted specs and stop playing politics or just grow up eh !!
I was with my mum in hospital 1 evening after visiting hours
( the nurses & ward mamager encouraged me to be there ) ,
A patient sadly passed away , the 2 Main nurses on the shift had tried there damndest to
keep her alive until the crash team arrived but to no avail,
They were both very down & all i had was 3 fruitella in my pocket
I walked over gave 1 to each & said i know its nothing but its all ive got.
If you could know how my Mum my Sisters & my nieces were treated after was
simply unbelievable . 1 of the doctors commented to me about being extraordinarily kind ,
I asked him what he was on about & he just said "Fruitella ".
Yes they do there work because it is dedication .
Sometimes a small thankyou at the right time goes a million miles.
Why didn't you applaud them AND give them a Fruitella?
Are you suggesting i put Hospital workers at risk Max ?
While they are doing there very best to keep
people alive ?
I'll do what i have to once this is virus is over & long gone
Its been something I've been thinking about for a whike & when i get out of my mess i will do what i have in my head .

Is it a good thing you have in your head Tufty?
I hope so .
Im thinking of joining the NHS in some form
Not sure what yet as im 53 now so maybe limited opportunities.
I'm convinced they will have a position for you. My mate who works down there says that there are umpteen new positions for Clap Leaders and their assistants.

Heh tuffers, it’s the London taxi drivers that do the regular outings for disadvantaged kids , not those tight Scottish taxi drivers .
Wrong.
Glasgow Taxis take the kids to Troon every year for the past 65 years. You willy.
I hope so .

I was thinking more along the line of a carer or possibly
Going back to education & doing physio or something like that.
You Mock away though Maxy , if mocking me helps your stress while being locked down
I'll be greatful i could help.
Tuffers, you directed me to this post, and you have a point. Sorry , I don’t think it’s banter to try and ridicule someone who having gone through a traumatic time is trying to sort himself out.

Max gold, I would bet everything I own that you were not one of those altruistic Scottish taxi drivers. Dickhead.
Correct. Like I have said a thousand times I don't work in Glasgow.
As for altruism. Its there, even outside these troubled times I do favours for people in distress.
Like the time I got waved down by a cop and asked to take a battered wummin to her destination for the last fiver the cop had in her pocket and the fare would have been £15. You don't know the half of what us socialist taxi drivers do.
Ill be honest Redcard , this board kept me going while i was
angry at times because of my mums situation ,
Got rid of a lot of stress , i think we all feel a bit of pressure at the minute
No footy no work ( as such)
Alco boardin .
Dont take it to seriously is all im saying fella.
Its very rarely personal & most on here would help you out in difficult times
If they can , even if they dont know you.
I know this personally .
Max gold., this imbecile has definitely out performed you academically, professionally , and in any other test of life’s successes, so please don’t be so stupid.
Max gold, Jesus, is that the best you can do.... you waved a £10 fare....what a tosser you are.
My brother in law a London taxi driver has ranked up at a London hospital giving n.h.s staff only free rides.

Tuffers, why are you being so kind to Maxie boy. He is NOT one of those Scottish taxi drivers that does charitable work for disadvantaged kids, his claim to fame is that the tosser once waved a £10 fare. The fact that he is prepared to come on here and boast about it says everything about him.

But look how bitter and humourless it’s left you
Think you got the worser deal but as long as you feel good calling people arseholes pricks etc etc keep kicking innit
