Well he's taken alot of stick down the years, but that statement says more about him as a human than any of the stupid things he may have done or said during his career.

A true man who in the time of need has stepped up and ensured that his staff remain that, receive their pay as usual and provides a free service to the people who may need it the most in the coming weeks.

Can't fault him for that (I'm sure some on social media will try though). A great gesture to throw open the hotel to NHS workers.

Yes, but are the servants who normally use it for them in self-isolation? If so, what do they do now?

Was going to pipe up with I wonder how much he’s getting for that, then he ruins it by saying it’s free of charge.

Top class. 👏

They are both great offers at this moment in time. The NHS staff are going to need more of this, if the predictions are anything to go by.

This world crisis is really going to reveal some characters - it'll reveal the venal and grasping, as well as the caring and generous.

For every Richard Branson there'll be several Gary Nevilles and Cristiano Ronaldos

For every tw*t snatching all the bog rolls, there'll be several people checking that the old bloke down the street can get some shopping.

I hope so, anyway.
