No, you don't actually see the cats being hurt, but quite compelling viewing.

Deutschland 83 very good
Deutschland 86 not very good.

Tried You on Netflix. Gave up after 2 episodes as it's a poor version of Dexter type show.

Quite enjoying Love Island so far.

Regardless of whether you see it or not it seems a peculiarly vile form of 'entertainment'. I suggest you boycott this immediately.

Had a look at episode 1 of Noughts & Crosses, which is up on BBC Iplayer. The USP is the race reversal colonisation of Britain by Africans, with pale skinned “locals” at the bottom of the heap, whilst those of African heritage hold all the positions of institutional power. At the individual level, there’s a budding Romeo & Juliet story that crosses race boundaries, and their families are central to the plot.

It’s a thought-provoking flip, there’s some decent actors and touches in it, but in terms of drama and characters it’s not particularly outstanding - maybe because it was adapted from a Young Adult novel, where dystopian fictions tend to reach for stereotypes (think Hunger Games). I’m intrigued to know how it ends, but not sure I’m sufficiently invested to be bothering watching the rest of it (6 episodes in total).

Sounds like total PC nonsense.

I've just started Guilt on iPlayer and its quite funny. Two brothers run over an old man then scramble to cover their tracks.

Shtisel on Netflix. Just started watching this drama of a Haredi family dealing with everyday life in an ultra-Orthodox neighbourhood. It's strangely compelling once you get into it.

Also started watching Season 2 of Narcos: Mexico. It helps with the commute, but so far isn't a patch on Season 1 or the original Narcos.

Season 5 of Better Call Saul has also started, and is shaping up to be a real belter.

You do a little bit, but the clips are brief and poor quality. Still an interesting watch though.

Had a binge of This Country on the iplayer today. Kerry! Bittersweet comedy and rural social commentary.

Now that was a quality film and like PW says great acting with some really good cinematography of the racing shots. Really enjoyed watching that. Some of the Ford people were proper deadbeats as people.

Finished Narcos Mexico 2.
Enjoyed it but finding these a bit repetitive now.
Probably do Saul next.
Addicted to Richard Osmans House of Games.

Do you actually know any of the ‘celebrities’ on it? Wouldn’t it be better with the general public as contestants?

Just getting to the back end of Breaking Bad I have 4 episodes to go. Then going to start on better call saul in the current climate.

Also addicted to House of Games to the point I was recording it and watching it when i got home from work.

Also trying to work out whether I like the "the trip series'" with Coogan and Brydon but I'm not sure if he's playing a parody of himself but Coogan comes across as a self indulgent arse.
