Kent Teague on why he will never move Orient away from Brisbane Rd
You actually get to listen to the words of Theo The Wyvern and hear of the good work Stuart does within the community.

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour march 12th
Right let’s get this discussion started.
Kent has said he will never move the club from Brisbane road. I’m happy with that statement as this is our ground, our land and our bit of territory in a league of 92 clubs.
However, that being said is Kent limiting how far we can go?
League 1 18/19 ave attendance was 8,741
Championship 18/19 ace attendance was 20,181
The above two figures are from last season and an average across the whole league. It shows we can handle league 1, but should we get back to the championship which I think is a realistic target and one that the owners seem to subscribe to we would not be able to cope. We would lose considerable income on match day revenue, we would potentially be losing fans to other clubs and rather than building on the good work being done we will actually be hindering our progress.
The east stand can be developed, but I keep on hearing let’s build a hotel, once again it would appear our ground would be hindered rather than enhanced. Logically a two tier stand would need to be incorporated and I’m not sure what the east holds now, but let’s work on 3,500 with a second tier adding the same again. So we would increase the stadium size to roughly around 12,500 still a long way short of a ground that could handle football at that level.
The owners and directors talk about sustainable football and I agree 100% with that statement however, more money makes sustainable football easier does it not? Again costs increase as you move up the tiers and again extra income becomes vitally important and we move once more full circle back to the ground limiting our ability to provide enough income to to offset the costs.
What’s your opinion to this news? To our abaility to raise extra funds and our abaility to hit sustainable football from a financial perspective?

But the owners pumps in millions, our owners stated aims are to be self sufficient.
