Lawrence Vigouroux
Been very impressed by him. Only given 18 months deal I would like it extended. Looks very calm . Great save at the end

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
If ML takes the flack for the bad ones, then he's got to get a pat on the back for the good ones. Vigoroux is decent; Cisse is decent and Johnson ain't half bad. All 3 holding down 1st team berths as we hit a period of better form. Sterner tests to come of course, but these 3 will be playing when they come.

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
The problem with him seems to always be off the pitch. If he can stay out of trouble I think he can be a top keeper for us.

Sorry you'll find yourself quickly kicked off the site for praising ML & RE. There's a forum mafia of about 6 trolls who dictate that

If you think he doesn't command his area , you must of been kacking it with sarge in goal.

One well documented occasion with the fine & that fake news story about him & Brophy being drunk NYE. (They were having a meal with their wives/girlfriends)

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
I just like the way he subtly takes seconds out of the game, like when he catches the ball and immediately goes to ground. You see a lot of the goalkeepers in the Premiership, do it on a regular basis.

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
good observation
played right back and trained with the net keepers for years
get the ball clutch to the chest go to ground, my job was then protect the goalie
old fashioned coaching
kicking needs improving but what a save at the end brilliant
Mind you JohnJackson would have caught it

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
I have absolutely no confidence that Brill or Sarge would have got that. Same with the last minute one last home game.
And if they had, people would have been saying it was a world class save.

But Brophys attitude has been spot on during his time here, so no reason to think the same won’t be true of Vigaro. I agree with the OP, extend his contract.

It was fairly central and he had a long time to see it. I'd have been very disappointed if he hadn't saved it.

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
Certainly got the potential to be. Bit harsh on Alex Cisak who had more than enough decent games during the Mad Frank era.

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
do not think he is in the jakupovic league by any stretch
Thing is, LV has joined the club when we seem to be on an upswing and so he has not had much to do recently. I think he will be tested much more in the next couple of games....

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
Paid for a £50 fine in 1p's!
He must have thought the fine was a bit of a piss take (or has a lax attitude) and responded in kind. I can see it would wind up any manager, but if that manager was being a bit of a tit then it would make plenty of people snigger.

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
Would expect all league keepers to stop that, thought he made a meal out of a shot from just outside the 18 yard box which was basically above him..Red_Army wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 10:00 pmIt was fairly central and he had a long time to see it. Still think his a good keeper however his not really been tested yet. Raving about him after 6 games of which 4 teams were below us in the league and 2 above us which included Cambridge who was nearly as bad as Stevenage. He should be tested with Plymouth and Bradford hopefully we will see the standard that people are on about in those two games.

Re: Lawrence Vigouroux
Unless there was a stipulation that the fine couldn’t be paid in coins then technically he hasn’t done anything wrong there. Plus he’s actually gone to the extra effort of sourcing loads of 1p coins.LittleMate wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 4:17 pm Paid for a £50 fine in 1p's!
