Johnson clearly above Angol in the pecking order now although it's hard to see why. I thought that originally Ekpiteta's injury was described as minor but clearly not the minor! Strange to have no sub keeper on the bench.

Re: Exiles/Match Thread vs Cambridge
Couple of sighters for Sotiriou, long distance shot unconvincingly fielded by the Cambridge keeper and running onto a flick header he should've done a bit better with before getting closed down.
Neither side looks a particularly solid defensive unit, two fairly poor sides showing why they're at the wrong end of the league.

Suspect the fact he won't sign a new contract has more to do with it. Two more injuries (Wright and Wilkinson) when we didn't even have a game... what are they doing in training?Highwood Man wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 2:54 pm Johnson clearly above Angol in the pecking order now although it's hard to see why. Re: Exiles/Match Thread vs Cambridge
Goal Orient, Clay carries it through midfield feeds JMD who shoots across goal from the right, neat finish

Re: Exiles/Match Thread vs Cambridge
Nice bit of inventive play from JMD, scoops the ball over Cambridge defenders for Sotiriou to hit on the volley but doesn't quite catch it cleanly, easily saved by the keeper.
Dayton / JMD / Sotiriou seem a bit more lively than Wright and Wilkinson in this formation. Food for thought there for Embleton when the injured players come back.

Cambridge hit the post from a whipped free kick across the box. Lucky escape.

2-0 Johnson, follows in after keeper spills Brophy's initial low strike.
HT - Cambridge are really poor, worst side I've seen down here this season aside from Stevenage and even they managed a clean sheet
