This is higher than any season since the 1980-1981 season almost 40 years ago

If this season is pony and the most boring in history, it sure as hell ain't putting the fans off

Tremendous amount of good will towards the club. The efforts of Travis and Teague, their future planning and objectives and of course JE and promotion. Fans showing their appreciation by going to games.

Ross and Ling are extremely fortunate. Let’s hope they deliver the goods next season. This one is largely a free pass so long as we avoid relegation, which we have.

to be honest, I've really sensed the energy levels dropping in the crowd in recent weeks. Since that little patch when we stumbled past a few crappy sides and banished any lingering fears of relegation, attention is starting to drift off... especially as that run also kept Embleton in post into next season, and large portions of the crowd have no confidence in him, so indifference is well and truly taking over. That Tuesday night at home to Mansfield saw attendance down to 3,587 - more typical of the situation pre-Beelzebub

Crowds held up pretty well under Beelzebub too, let's not forget. I think people were drawn to the bleakly comic drama and farce.

Macklin and his team deserve a lot of credit as off the pitch the club is in good shape.
Kent and Nige are an affable couple of gents who fans have backed with buying Season Tickets back last summer when the club was in terrible state following Justin’s passing.
A year later, after many bad home performances and I’m not so sure as many fans will flock back for more of the same.
I will renew, as will two other members of my family but the home product really needs to improve.
I want to be excited when I go to games in E10, but far too often this season I’ve come away disappointed and fed up.

This is not a positive. We are based in the middle of one of the 4 or 5 great global cities. Attendances generally In football have risen exponentially year on year. If we were doing well, and considering our location, I am talking championship well, we should have been at 10,000 plus for the last 10 years. Our underperformance has been nothing short of disgraceful.

When you look at shots in total and on target we are near the bottom, at home. Shots on target, only Carlisle have fewer. Excitement levels, performances and wins at home, this season is crap. Yet still the people come. It’s all about goodwill and naff all to do with Ling and Ross and the direction we are going. Ross and Long are lucky, big time lucky.

Next season will be the test. ST sales will be the first test, when people like me really start to think whether we want to come most games or be selective. Not too sure what I’ll do. Bored rigid with our home form and no longer enjoy, come out of loyalty. Loyalty, why figures remain high

Yes, but just to make clear this has naff all to do with the standard of football on show?

I think as well remember, you've got the high of winning the league last season, bookies had the likes of Orient and Salford as good odds to go up or at least be very high in the table this season, whereas the coming season the average casual non-orient diehard will be potentially looking at buying a season ticket on a midtable finish.

Interesting to know, wonder when they changed how they count them. I see the ticket operators have a smartphone app they count the tickets on now, or is that just one of them using initiative to make the job easier?

We literally won a championship last season. Now we’re having a tougher time in a division above after our title-winning manager died. Sad that instant success is the only joy some people can find in going to a consistently dreadful club like Orient.
