Chesterfield having big clear out
Wonder if they will get their act together and challenge for the title next season. Or are they doomed to be stuck down in hell for a decade a la Wrexham?

I wouldn’t mind JBW as a back up/ pushing for a start with JW. Surprised to see they let him go I thought he played well against us

Thought that JBW was dreadful when he played for us, but he really must have been better than that.
I think the Spireites have landed the right manager in John Sheridan, and I'll be surprised if they don't at least make the play-offs next season.

Might be because he was on hight wages . He would be a really good signing if we went in for him.Orient2001 wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 7:50 pm I wouldn’t mind JBW as a back up/ pushing for a start with JW. Surprised to see they let him go I thought he played well against us

Don't forget we had him when Beelzebub was our owner , nothing was right with the club back then . Like Jobi, I think he would be better for us if we got him back .EastDerehamO wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 9:31 pm Thought that JBW was dreadful when he played for us, but he really must have been better than that.

Re: Chesterfield having big clear out
Great idea, let's improve our L2 squad by signing a player not good enough for a mid table team in the division below. Ace.

Re: Chesterfield having big clear out
JBW was the stand out player for England C when they played at our place until he got injured. They are giving a new deal to Robbie Weir LOL
Re: Chesterfield having big clear out
That kind of attitude worked OK for Tranmere and Jake Caprice though, by all accounts he has done quite well there yet was not good enough for a mid-table side here.Mr. Peanutbutter wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 1:40 am Great idea, let's improve our L2 squad by signing a player not good enough for a mid table team in the division below. If I ain't wrong I think JBW might be a little similar in that he is a bit better going forward than actually defending. I do think we will end up getting a more attacking full-back which allows Sam Ling to stay back a bit (previous examples being Lockwood/Charlie Daniels), not entirely sure that JBW will be it.
