I know some people on here will be disappointed by this but I think he’s an OK back up for Viggers.

Strange really. He’s obviously either been promised something, doesn’t have much ambition, thinks he can challenge for the number one jersey or is scared he won’t get another job.
For what it’s worth, I still rate him but I know many don’t.

Re: Sargeant signs new deal
Good and (now) experienced number two keeper and happy to stay in the London area.
You won't find many better backup keepers in the summer.
Of the out of contract players in the summer, I'd have only kept Sargeant and Ekpetita the rest IMO should all be moved on.

Cheap cover, happy to play second fiddle to Vigoroux. Not really surprised by this tbh

No brainer really, what else is he going to get? Players of his age at this level can easily drop out of pro football.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 6:59 pm Strange really. Re: Sargeant signs new deal
You can probably say that about most first choice keepers at our level. Paying over the top for backups is inefficient.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 8:05 pm All i can say is, Lets hope vigoroux doesn't get injured

Exactly this. Perfectly sensible for all parties.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 10:50 pmYou can probably say that about most first choice keepers at our level. A loan to a NL club wouldn’t do him any harm either, as long as there is an instant recall clause should it be needed.

Re: Sargeant signs new deal
Surprised he’s signed it, as he’ll clearly only be a benchwarmer at this level. Thought he might have followed Grainger’s lead and drop a tier or 2 to get a regular game, but I guess that could mean being a part-timer (Grainger is atDulwich, who are struggling to stay in NL South).

More money here no doubt, and the opportunity of being loaned out and playing at that level anyway.slacker wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 9:58 am Surprised he’s signed it, as he’ll clearly only be a benchwarmer at this level.
