So if you don't see games then how do you know its sh*t? I can only assume you are watching games, but on an illegal stream. Either that or you are guessing at things...Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 10:31 amYeah...any issues with that let me know?O my gawd wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 9:32 amSo you still won't come to games, but will continue to post negative crap on here ?Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 9:02 pm If I believed that we’d get better next season, I’d be chilled. But I fundamentally do not agree that our set up will see any sort of improvement next season. Recruitment will be sh*t and tactics and not get better..imo.
Bless you, it must make you feel really important.
As ive said, i'll go to some games but not investing/wasting my money on a ST.
It makes me like sh*t, if you really want to know. Seeing my club playing awful football week in week out, and having to defend myself to people like you, literally every single day on here, for standing up for what i believe in the hope that in a very small way, it might improve things at my club if other people follow suit.
Bless you though. If taking the p*ss and making me feel like sh*t makes you feel really important then keep going.

Re: New manager
The tactics he employs has certainly not been good enough for me. The amount of games he has won at home during his time being interim/ manager does not inspire me to think we are going to be successful next season. Trouble is because he is Lings mate things are not going to change.. He baffles me in his ideas of continue to play the club players out of positionPrestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 7:58 pm Another game unbeaten, but that's not good enough for some people. Give the man a chance!
Re: New manager
I can't believe that people who think we are getting better actually go to the home matches. We are not getting better, results have improved slightly because we are not losing as many as we were a few weeks ago, but the football is still rubbish.
It still looks as though the manager, although trying hard, does not understand what it takes to manage a football club. It's obvious we need to bring in someone who does.

Re: New manager
Yes that's right. The teams we have got improved results from have been struggling teams down near the bottom like us. We have lost against the 2 decent teams we've played recently (Crewe and Cheltenham).
Re: New manager
As I have said before, I have only seen all the home games, so my assessment is based on that. In the six game unbeaten home run, starting with Grimsby, we have only played Northampton in the top half of the table and we got out of jail that night, with a dubious penalty, but obviously we will take that. The other five, should have all been winnable, yet we drew three and scrambled over the line in the other two. So excluding the Northampton game, where we actually had 5 shots on target, this is the shots on target for the other five:-
Grimsby - 3
Newport - 2
Macclesfield - 2
Mansfield - 3
Oldham - 1
Which, in my opinion is a pretty poor return for the home side, so what I am saying is although the results have improved, in my honest opinion, the performances haven't. Ok, so you could say some of those teams have come and parked the bus, but you have to find away to combat that and I don't see that in our overall play. Sure we have a lot of possession, but a lot of it is sideways and backwards and we still lack creativity in the final third, to unlock these packed defences. Personally I would like to see us attempt to get the ball on the floor more and play in and around these packed defences and to turn some of the cumbersome centre halves we have come up against lately.

Re: New manager
Exactly as Osal states.
Also I don't think we've even had many shots off target because we don't often get in positions to shoot and when we do, we lack the confidence to shoot.

"Are the stats above correct?"
Well the figures are according to BBC Sport, I didn't actually count them myself, but having been at all those matches, the figures do look about right.

Re: New manager
It’s felt for some seasons that we’ve under-performed at home in comparison to away, and while it’s evened up a bit this season over the last couple of months, having the fourth best average attendance in L2, I’m expecting better at Brisbane Road.
We’ve had a relatively easy run of matches of late, they will get tougher as we get into April, so having accepted Ross has got the job, I’m willing to suspend further judgement until the season end as to whether he should be manager come next season.

But I'd still argue we are better than we were, simply because we now have Vigaro in goal and Cisse in midfield, plus young Ruel now featuring in match day squads.

Sometimes when I am really bored, I read the moaners and groaners comments on here. It gives me a giggle and lightens my mood.

Re: New manager
Have to say, agree with Osal and Bobo here.
Although results have enjoyed a slight upturn, in so far as we're not losing quite so much, I can't see much to suggest performances are improving per se.
The shots on target table backs this up. It is all incredibly unconvincing, even insipid, at it's worst.
We're nearly in March, meaning save for the 29 days Fletcher was "in charge", RE has been at the helm all season.
He seems not to know his best team, nor formation, and simply fiddles with permutations of both in the hope something will click.
Granted the remit was to keep us up, which due to the failings of other clubs it seems we will do, but there's little or nothing to inspire confidence for next season on current performances.

If we win - keep the same team next week, if we don't - make 2 or 3 changes, and cross-fingers.
I don't think he'll be any wiser come the start of next season.
