Do you think these women who claim to have had their rights eroded are being a bit snowflake like. They need to turn their attention to men who are their real oppressors.

Re Abbott stepping down. Think that’s a good thing - pretty sure she’s got some degenerative illness (Parkinsons?) and probably shouldn’t have even stood for re-election to parliament. The dogs abuse she’s taken the last few years has been shameful.

Agreed. She has been a fine servant for her constituents and at least been consistent with her message.

No. Where did I say I wanted them to be unelectable.
My point was about the woeful level of political education in the Labour Party which you too appear to suffer badly from.

It's not about correcting people's thinking it's about improving their political knowledge in a Marxist way.
Activism isn't worth a sh*t if you spend all your time arguing with each other about obscure identity issues.
A summer school would be good, perhaps located in Cuba. In addition the local party meetings are a snorefest and need to be livened up with proper political debate.
Labour doesn't have the capacity to do it nor the will. There are too many who see it as their personal property and shudder at the thought of answering to an educated mass based party.

Keir Starmer - The epitome of the Islington-set, metropolitan elite remainer. The members favourite.
Lisa Nandy - playing to the gallery a bit with identity politics (which, to be fair, she has to given the state of the membership), but the candidate with the most appeal to the voters Labour needs to attract/win back in order to win a general election. The members least favourite.
Nandy may still surprise people with second preference votes (it worked for Ed), but it's looking like Starmer is going to get the gig.
