Cold with Dijon Mustard or pickle. Good quality scotch eggs only though.

I can remember as a child my father starting to cut a scotch egg in half only to stop, cut all the way round, take the egg out, break the shell off, put it all back together and all without saying a word. My mother later cited pressure of work.

I cut the scotch egg into quarters, eat a piece of the egg and then a piece of sausage meat with the Dijon mustard or pickle four times.

I don’t remember ever being served a hot Scotch Egg.

And the other question is do you peel off the sausage meat and eat that then the egg or just bite in and get a bit of both. I’m sort of in the first camp as I’ll take a bite of the egg before finishing the meat

Find it strange that majority prefer cold as being a cooked product you'd think it'd be better fresh and thus warm.

It’s got to be hot, cut it in half and half again with a blob of brown sauce, job done.

Those really push ones with the squidgy yolk are just about okay. Any others are for just fit for the bin

Scotch eggs are utter filth. Wouldn't eat them hot or cold. In the bin with them.

A great on the go snack. Cold.

The M&S soft yolk posh ones are alright with a bit of salad leaves for a starter too. Warm.

Surprised Greggs haven’t rolled out a Veggie version yet, but Quorn do a box of mini picnic egg if your not keen on mashed pigs lips.

In mathematical circles, that’s known as ‘quarters’.
