Mostly use a card. I find it more convenient most of the time.

Old-school: people who buy one drink in a pub and pay by tapping get me down. It was great to get a wage packet full of cash in days gone by...

How much longer before we have a microchip implanted in our right hand . You won’t even need a card then as everything will be done electronically. I watched a documentary one night and they had this technology already in a few people in America . Edit ,You might be able to look up this on YouTube

I read today that 2 million people in the UK don't have a bank account. Obviously they can't use cards but that's a staggering amount. Where do they get their cash from? Is this all the black economy?

I remember visiting New Orleans in 1978 and being surprised at a sign on a shop window saying “card purchases only no cash held on premises”. But the old greenback (dollar bill) is still very much around.

There will be cash for a long while yet but for sure more people are using the card all the time

So many of my customers want to pay 4 or £5 fares with a card these days. They are a right pain the the arse.

In fact thinking about it upwards of 98.7% of my customers are right pains in the arse.

Most tills have a little trip lock underneath them .
Slide a ruler under them & away.you go till opens.

Ah but what about receipts .
Pens & paper , now could we not do something with those ?

The government want everyone paying by card or electronic means as everything can be traced and more importantly tax levied on everything earned.

For that to happen I would need to have succumbed to consumer pressure and have purchased a machine in the first place.
