Stevenage facing possible points deduction.

Post by Top of the JES »

They requested a postponement of a league game against Oldham on Saturday 16 November 2019.under the EFL ‘postponement policy’ which allows Clubs to make an application in the event that three or more eligible players are called up to represent their respective national teams.

Oldham complained and after enquiries made by the EFL it is alleged that, at the time of the postponement request, only two players were eligible to be counted towards the total and not three as required by the policy.

Being referred to an independent disciplinary committee, will be either a financial penalty, points deduction or both.

If proven I hope they get a fine rather than a points deduction, but in all honesty I'm not sure it will make a difference either way, I hope Revell does well there and gets the gig full time, always gave 100% for us, think he could end up a decent manager.

Not if they don't get points deducted but Macclesfield do because of the Plymouth cancellation. Incidentally, Macclesfield play that game tonight
