Thanks guys, excellent as usual and found Kent's words very interesting. It sounds like he has treated this year as a 'free hit' but he's not going to put up with anything less than a play off/promotion challenge next season.

He's wrong, Prestige has ruled that top 10 is our target.WhetstoneO wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 11:44 am Thanks guys, excellent as usual and found Kent's words very interesting. Good show as always. Found Kent Teague‘s words fascinating. This season was inevitably going to be difficult due to individual and collective trauma after the tragedy of Justin Edinburgh’s passing. Also add in the Fletcher debacle and its a season of healing and development.
However next season the play-off as a minimum rightly seems to be the expectation, which will make the recruitment in the summer vital to get right.

If that really is the aim (and i have no reason to think Kent is lying) then I wonder what our recruitment is gonna look like (busy summer) and how long really has if we start next season poorly. If we are bottom 10 in November, do they pull the plug?

Re: **Kent Teague Exclusive Chat**
He said 2-5 players in the summer and that ML is back at his desk after 2 weeks off with an email asking him "whats the plan for summer signings". I'm not going to read too much into those numbers because I suppose it depends on the number of out of contract signings we re-sign.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 1:06 pm If that really is the aim (and i have no reason to think Kent is lying) then I wonder what our recruitment is gonna look like (busy summer) and how long really has if we start next season poorly. Re: **Kent Teague Exclusive Chat**
yer all sounds plausible
But then again it always does.
I listen to Nigel and Kent and it all sounds great
But perception is reality and sorry it aint cutting the mustard
2/5 new signings would generally be exciting but who has faith in the committee who will appoint the signings.
Here we go will they be injured and cannot play, yoof loanees, old injured has beens, or family of lingletons
really pleased that we have a good net minder !!!
Smacks a bit of buy yer season tickets early cos its going to be another sh*t season

Action speak louder than words. Hopeful wishes and strong words will not achieve promotion.
If promotion next season IS to be achieved, then quite a few improvements and changes required in the playing staff and also the existing Manager and perhaps coaches if performances do not come up to scratch, we shall see.

Our side is one of the youngest average ages in the league and the players that have come in have been Ross’s connections (Vigoroux) or scouted (Cisse and Johnson).
Like that you picked up on the “net minder”!
