Yeah, imagine sticking to a way of playing that worked during a good run of form (not just the last game).Osal wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 8:52 pmMust admit, those last two lines are a concern, you surely have to adapt to the opposition you are playing, there again what do I know, I am only a supporter, like you.LeytonstoneRed07 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 8:39 pmAsked him why we didn't utilise the wind like Cheltenham did ie, why we fanny around passing it around the back four when Cheltenham were getting through us in 5/6 passes.
Recall RE said something about scoring 2 goals against Mansfield playing that way.
I walked away thinking that RE won't adapt to teams we play or the conditions we play in. His way is the only way.
Bizarre that you’d conclude “his way is the only way” If that’s how the conversation went

Him staring at you after you made a remark (which was probably something dumb judging by your track record) means he’s got a temper? Ok thenApple Wumble wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:40 pm Always surprised me when people dont stop saying how nice Ross is. He spent 5 minutes staring me out when I shouted something pretty general, and non sweary about our performance at the end of a game about 2 years ago. He's got a temper, for sure.
Very embarrassing that you got rattled by a bloke of about 5’3” making eye contact with you though. Grow a pair

Who’s saying the bloke isn’t allowed an opinion?Disoriented wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 5:44 am It’s called having an opinion and not being cowered into silence.
In short, it is freedom of speech.
If you love freedom of speech so much why don’t you recognise Ross’s right to give his opinion back?

Freedom of speech shouldn't give certain people license to be abusive, especially when most of the time they are wrong.
Let's show patience & give RE.

Regardless of what happened after, the players deserved the stick they were getting at that point in time.

I’d suggest that conditions on Saturday were not conducive to our usual pissing about with it at the back. And with an out and out front 3 of Johnson, Angol and Wilkinson, you absolutely should be going more direct.

I replied before I looked further down the thread, my error.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 4:57 amYou are a Bright spark aren't you .
Its questioning why people want to dig out players & management .
This was as said earlier against Solihull.
It clearly shows Jobi ( who in a thread that night was called a disgrace & should never be allowed to wear an orient shirt agin by some numpties on the old version of this board), losing it with a fan .
Maybe Ross wants to calm people by talking face to face & not deal with people who can be heard screaming abuse from 40 yards away.
So things like this dont happen at the club again.
I was at the so called altercation at Cheltenham, I couldn't hear the "screaming abuse" both parties involved were well behaved, yes words were exchanged as does normally happen in conversation and both parties involved left the field firmly convinced the other one hasn't got a clue, so we move on to the next dismal display and repeat altercation.
They sure as hell know how to deliver a Bovril drink, so strong could use it as tarmac on M40, and M4

Re: Who is the very aggressive "fan"?
Firstly, one of those wins is against Stevenage. Secondly, RE has been manager for all but about 2 weeks of this season. No amount of ‘interim’ and ‘caretaker’ titles will change that.

Re: Who is the very aggressive "fan"?
I can't keep up with when he's been in or out, just googled and seen an article on bbc dated 7th January where he was appointed permanent manager. So assuming that date is correct, his results as permanent manager are as follows:
LEAGUE TWO Sa 11Jan 2020 Leyton Orient 1 - 1 Grimsby D
LEAGUE TWO Sa 18Jan 2020 Port Vale 1 - 0 Leyton Orient L
LEAGUE TWO Tu 21Jan 2020 Leyton Orient 1 - 1 Northampton D

LEAGUE TWO Sa 01Feb 2020 Stevenage 0 - 3 Leyton Orient W
LEAGUE TWO Sa 08Feb 2020 Leyton Orient 1 - 1 Macclesfield D
LEAGUE TWO Tu 11Feb 2020 Leyton Orient 2 - 1 Mansfield W
LEAGUE TWO Sa 15Feb 2020 Cheltenham 2 - 1 Leyton Orient L
Which I make 3 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses from 9 games.
Yeah, fantastic form.

Re: Who is the very aggressive "fan"?
Its good form if you compare it to the games between Fletcher being sacked and Ross being given it permanently.
8 Games, 1 Win, 2 Draws, 5 Losses.
But apparently we can't judge him on that.

4 wins from 17 games since Fletch got the boot. Or relegation form as its also known.

Re: Who is the very aggressive "fan"?
If you take the last 6 games, a usual indicator of form, then that's 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. So 10 points from 18, against some of the worst sides in this division. And that's with the new recruits like Cisse and Vigaro coming in.
It's understandably difficult to find any reason to be positive about next season.

He took the job (about 3 times) knowing what we had. Overhaul isn't whats happened either.

Thats because we've only had the January window.
Should he have refused to be caretaker after Justin died? Or just because work needed to be done?
Not sure why you're being dense about this, thought you were an intelligent lefty.

Not saying i agree with Fletchers sacking, he was right about overhauling the squad.

All of this could have been avoided if RE had acted professionally by ignoring the fan completely and walking off the pitch down the tunnel.
One more reason why he shouldn't be the manager and this isn't the first time something like this has happened.
