Alabama
Republican lawmaker Rolanda Hollis has proposed that all men within one month of their 50th birthday or their third biological child have a vasectomy that they have to pay for themselves.
I’m not being funny, but there is no way anyone would be making me have such a procedure. I know people have it done, but I’m sorry it’s not for me.
Who do these people think they are?

Re: Alabama
Thor has just glanced at a Daily Mail headline without bothering to understand the detail and nuance behind the story: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-800728 ... ocrat.html
She's just made it up to highlight what she perceives as the ridiculousness of male politicians pontificating over how women treat their bodies.
As ever, scroll to the end of the article to understand what it's really about:
She said she wanted to send a message that 'men should not be legislating what women do with their bodies'.
Randall Marshall, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Alabama, praised Hollis for making the statement but said that the bill would not progress.
'Everybody knows that this bill isn't going anywhere,' he said.
'But it really does underscore the hypocrisy of Alabama's legislature in making medical decisions for women that it would never dream of making for men.'

Re: Alabama
Forced vasectomies isn't anything like restrictions on abortion, they're actually opposites.

Re: Alabama
Nothing surprises me about America anymore. They have now installed a king. What was the War of Independence all about?
