Re: Cheltenham (A) - Exiles Thread
I suppose it's best he gets all his mistakes out of the way this season because we're now pretty safe from relegation . Stevenage lost again so no damage done in that regard . Ross really does need to rethink again about his in-game tactics . He threw that game away today .Four four two wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 4:52 pm Another total clanger from Embleton. Used all the subs and took off his forwards. How can we equalise now. Another shambles from a rookie manager.

He's not the first to be caught out by that and won't be the last.Four four two wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 4:52 pm Another total clanger from Embleton. Used all the subs and took off his forwards. How can we equalise now. Another shambles from a rookie manager.

Nobody on here really believed that we would be relegated this year with only one team going down, thankfully.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:00 pmI suppose it's best he gets all his mistakes out of the way this season because we're now pretty safe from relegation . As you probably know, sometimes a striker just needs one off their arse, back anywhere to get the goals and confidence flowing. Hopefully he will push on further now.

Johnson really needs to get himself involved, he was completely anonymous from start to finishThor wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:15 pmAnother blunder by the sound of it, like the last time and the time before. Took off Angol who was the only player holding the ball up . Also ended chasing the game with only one striker on the pitch . Tried to see out the Macclesfield game and couldn't and we've gone and done it again . Frustrating .Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:02 pmWhat was the error? Re: Cheltenham (A) - Exiles Thread
O-no people have said he’s a fox in the box, a central striker, what i saw midweek was that player if those descriptions were accurate played as a left winger more or less, no chance to jump at half chances, no slide balls in to the danger area, his back to goal when we were near it. Hardly playing to his strengths I’d suggest.

Re: Cheltenham (A) - Exiles Thread
He may be that - I hope he is - but a fox in the box needs balls to feed from. He's just not going to get that from our current midfield setup,Thor wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:21 pm O-no people have said he’s a fox in the box, a central striker, what i saw midweek was that player if those descriptions were accurate played as a left winger more or less, no chance to jump at half chances, no slide balls in to the danger area, his back to goal when we were near it. I don't know if Clay and Wright have some photographs of Ross they shouldn't have, but until we have a midfield that makes chances we could have more foxes than an open day at the chicken farm and it wouldn't make any difference.

Re: Cheltenham (A) - Exiles Thread
Absolutely that's the problem . Has Ross ever got the best out of our strikers . ? My answer would be no . Try 4-4-2 from the beginning and see how we go .Thor wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:21 pm O-no people have said he’s a fox in the box, a central striker, what i saw midweek was that player if those descriptions were accurate played as a left winger more or less, no chance to jump at half chances, no slide balls in to the danger area, his back to goal when we were near it. To be fair I'm very poorly. I've had a virus and now I've got an inner-ear infection and I'm dosed up to the eyeballs.

Post of the day, so funny but also so true !
Once again, Ross is not Manager material at this level, he is clueless when it comes to tactics, especially when it comes to late game substitutions and closing out a game. Get this season done then get someone decent in for the Managers job before next season starts.

Hope you feel better, I’ve had a couple of stinking colds this year already, but after honey, lemon, sugar and hot water say goodbye to feeling like crap and the stinking colds. Life’s own remedy right there and I swear by it as time and again it stops whatever it is in it’s tracks.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:32 pmTo be fair I'm very poorly. It’s not going to happen Sid, we are stuck with him. I just hope he sorts it out and does well for us otherwise what hope is there?Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:54 pm@o-noo-no wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:27 pmHe may be that - I hope he is - but a fox in the box needs balls to feed from.
