Re: Webb officially has left
It would seem there wasn't much love between the 2 parties by the end of the relationship.

Re: Webb officially has left
Interesting that Webb is called "Interim Assistant Manager". Looks very much like whilst Ross got the main job, he then got to decide who was to work with him as part of his team. For whatever reason it was not Danny. It could explain Danny's manner/actions in the last week or two before he went on gardening leave.
I have a feeling Danny will prove himself as a manager in the next decade.

Nigel said in his interview they would alll go back to normal positions within the club if a New Man came in.
It sounds like the players were hearing from 2 coaches & didnt kniw who the head honcho was.
Again Dayton said " at least we know who is in charge now ".

Er… more likely they coughed up a settlement to prevent him making a claim for constructive dismissal

Re: Webb officially has left
I cant believe some of the comments above.......i really cant
Soneone said the club have handled it well....WHATTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Webb went around 2 or 3 weeks ago, yet they put out a paltry few lines now.
This mutual consent is a euphemism used frequently in the Football industry, and the one thing it doesn't mean is mutual consnt!!. There was a bust up of sorts, what and how we will never know, but there was no mutual consent .
Notice the club waits untill we won a home game, so the mood amongst the fans is good, before they release the pathetic statement.
When Bechetti was running the club, fans moaned ( rightly) that we were not given information, such as when Nolan went, and in fact Webb went.......how is this any different now?
Webby was treated poorly IMO...he has more natural talent as a manager than Ross will ever have, but unfortunately for him, he isnt Lings favourite.

Re: Webb officially has left
Don’t really understand the love in with Webb. Clearly an issue and the club has sorted it.
No ones bigger than the organisation/business/club.
For Dayton to refer to it; then clearly it should have been sorted sooner.
Up the O’s.

His record of 2 wins 1 draw & 9 defeats was shocking.

Apart from the fact that Dayton didn’t refer to it.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 6:51 pm Don’t really understand the love in with Webb. Clearly an issue and the club has sorted it.

And that we don’t know what happened aside from rumours that Ling was in the dressing room, Danny wasn’t happy with some performances and said as much, and now Webb has gone.

Re: Webb officially has left
Of course.
The club would rather fork out a few quid extra to keep what ever went on quiet, which is fair enough.

If you’re referring to my comment, I was being sarcastic.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 6:36 pm I cant believe some of the comments above.......i really cant

Re: Webb officially has left
With the assistance of Google Translate I've put this in the format we'd expect from such a statement, just needs an accompanying video from Travis at night in the Gallery...
Leyton Orient can today confirm that it has shared the company with Deputy Director Danny Webb by mutual consent. The club would like to thank Danny for his time at the club, which included participating in last season's National League winning campaign. The club wishes Danny good in the future.
