Re: Ross Embleton
Recent form is decent, we’re not shipping too many goals, and as said on the top post, since the managerial position was made permanent we’ve done ok. And I want Ross to prove us doubters wrong.
We haven’t had the toughest of matches of late, but our run through April does look like a step up, so let’s see how it pans out.

Initially Embleford was going to be number two?
Get real mate, he’s still number two - and tactically always will be

Re: Ross Embleton
Saturday will be a good test of how much improvement we've made. Big thing seems to be positive and aggressive from the word go. Too many square and back passes - they shout lack of confidence and a side like Cheltenham could hurt us for that.

Re: Ross Embleton
This is just the response he is looking for. I've come to the conclusion that he doesn't care too much about the O's. Anyone who knows their football realises that things are not that good. A 1-1 draw Saturday and a scrape through 2-1 win last night after a goalkeeping howler, and an own goal. Both games against struggling sides, and both at home too. But then he plays his little game by suggesting everything is going well, 4points from two games etc, etc. He's either doing it as a wind up or he is just ignorant about football.ContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:01 am Initially Embleford was going to be number two?

It is quite clearly something that makes him tick over on this board--he derives a certain amount of pleasure from it.
Whatever it may be, he is just looking for a reaction all the time.

Re: Ross Embleton
Did you go last night? I would not have said there were too many square and back passes. If you were watching on an (illegal) stream somewhere then it would have largely been following the ball and not the overall playing style. Granted the opposition were not great, but I felt we were tying to play football in a better way than the past few weeks.

However tuff if we had lost would your words be of a type where you would deflect any criticism of the manager with mitigating reasons
Look tuff for me I want lofc to win and tbh it's not Ross I have the issue with it's all about the equality of employee opportunities being there for everyone and that's it simply put and I from the outside think the club did not attempt to assist Fletcher how they could and then the subsequent developments were not very professional.
I would prefer an expierenced manager win or lose and initially Ross was going to be the number 2 and he and most people were satisfied with that outcome

One of the main reasons he was kicked out cos he wanted Ross out the club among others and Ling wasn’t having that.

Look mate you were not there I was not there Father Christmas was not there how the hell would you know what was said or implied and the deviation if any was delivered once he was appointed.
The simple bottom line is the existing owners coaches and directors took a dislike to his work and character for reasons specifically unknown to us but categorised by them as "culture" however post dismissal the owner clearly stated in the interview fletcher was not to blame but Lofc were.
That why I'm p off big time - they go to the cost and time to select him and give up after 29 days - it's really bizarre to just throw a person under a bus without explaining how they tried to assist him to mitigate where they were unhappy with his performance
One can't just do an investigation by Sherlock Ling after being alerted hearing his son saying to his mother " the club f up " - and then doing a latent secret investigation
Why the f did Ling not play it straight and tell the poor bloke what he was not satisfied and ask him to improve or change to lings perception of method or culture ( defined by Ling)
You know why - fletcher wanted drastic changes and the club could not afford the mutiple pay offs and importation of new staff costs - so they got rid of him - there is no other logical explanation
Let's see in years to come who has the better career - people like fletcher a high achiever in playing or the football people responsible for his lack of integration into the culture be it players or Lofc coaches
People like him just don't just give up due to one group at one club getting pxxssed off for reasons they decide is the marking factor on their boxes or culture or fear of their own employment.
In the meantime Lofc win more than they lose and all this crap management of critical decisions gets lost in the wash
If Ross fails the current Ling boxes whatever they he will eventually go- but it won't work like that in the short term.
So be prepared for both Ross and Ling to be here along time and on that basis it really is futile displaying any further displeasure - best just concentrate on other aspects on ones lives and except Lofc has people trying their best within their culture
Ross is the fail guy in the long term as managers tenures are short and his loyalty and love of Lofc has been taken advantage of by Lofc - shame really because he has a young family and a failed Lofc manager in his own words will have a less future career that a highly acclaimed first team coach as he was thought of by Lofc
Ross Embleton 3 wins 3 draws 2 losses.
Ill leave it there.
