MARSH
I understand that the jury is still out on Marsh at right back and as he probably won't be here next season it doesn't matter, but one thing I have noticed about him and for which, I think he deserves credit, is that considering how small he is (he's virtually a midget), he is very strong. He tackles really hard and is not easy to push off the ball. Not only is he small but he looks slight and I wonder how it is that he is so strong. Perhaps others could learn from him.

Re: MARSH
If he's being loaned out to league two then it's possible spurs could release him in the summer.

It is possible his low centre of gravity helps him to deal with robust challenges...bobo66 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 2:54 pm I understand that the jury is still out on Marsh at right back and as he probably won't be here next season it doesn't matter, but one thing I have noticed about him and for which, I think he deserves credit, is that considering how small he is (he's virtually a midget), he is very strong. Re: MARSH
I’ve notice that. Looks like one of those who would be easy to bowl over but actually feels like he’s made of stone.
He put two, much bigger, players on their ars* yesterday.
I’ve also noticed that he is able to successfully execute some of the dark arts. Examples include booting the ball directly at a player who was obstructing a free kick and a well timed nudge in the back of a striker who he was never going to out jump. He seems a smart footballer.

Re: MARSH
Didn't seem so smart when he let his winger come inside him on Saturday and resulted in their goal. Nor when the winger tore past him and set up their best chance last night.
If we don't think Judd (or Ling) is the answer at right back, then get rid of one of them and go and get another right back. A proper right back.
If we don't think Marsh is the answer at DCM, then go and get someone who is (cough Cisse cough).
I'm sure that Marsh will, in time, be a very competent L2 midfielder. He's only 21, he will continue to improve. But let's not try and fit square pegs in round holes or whatever the saying is.

Re: MARSH
I’d definitely want us to try and keep him . I don’t know if he prefers CM but he’s proving to be a very good RB . Easily better than both Ling and JuddPrestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 3:05 pm If he's being loaned out to league two then it's possible spurs could release him in the summer.

Sign for a club where he isn’t competing against the DOFs son?Writtlered wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 5:12 pm Still think his best position is in the middle alongside clay and Cisse, don’t know what Judd has to do to get a start

Marsh is better at right back than ling and Judd put together and I would be happy to see him right back for the rest of the season.
I’m so confused why you support orient RED man or whateva your name is. All you do is slag of the players. Why don’t you go and support West Ham and do us all a favour you dark cloud.

Re: MARSH
Judd is by far the best right back we have at the club, but he has to fight manfully against something out of his control to get picked.
Pity.

Re: MARSH
I can think of at least three players I'd rather have at right back than Judd and that doesn't even include our first choice right back.Disoriented wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:56 pm Judd is by far the best right back we have at the club, but he has to fight manfully against something out of his control to get picked.

Re: MARSH
Marsh has spent much of his youth career as a right back so it's not really a square peg.RedO wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 4:21 pm Didn't seem so smart when he let his winger come inside him on Saturday and resulted in their goal. It's possible for players to change positions, or play positions they might otherwise not to play at a higher level.
Jason Demitriou and Moses Odubajo come to mind.

Re: MARSH
Matty Joseph was one of the best we've had and he was a similar height. That being said I remember how TT used to take advantage of a short full back with Andy Arnott out wide.
