Norway

Post by Thor »

Our fellow border Bergen lives in the 2nd most expensive country in the world. See the link below.

So Bergen what do you think about the article? Is it a true representation of what you see day to day?

Switzerland is named the world's most expensive country to live in https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... e-masthead

Not reading the article but it’s well known that Norway is expensive. But wages are also a lot higher, as is happiness and the state of their infrastructure and health care.

Hello from Bergen,

It is true I am afraid. Especially for tourists it is very expensive. But AW is right that wages are higher so for those of us who live here its not a big problem.

I also find it different from UK that the (high) price levels are pretty much the same all over Norway, while I have always found London much more expensive than the rest of the UK.

I was young!

I read about Orient in a football magazine called 90 minutes back in 1993 or 1994. I was fascinated and has followed the club as closely as I could ever since. Today its easy to keep up to date, but back then it was difficult to find enough information. Thankfully there was a guy called Martin P. Smith who was running something "Leyton Orient International Pen Pals" and he was very helpful.

I reckon Bergen is really a fourteen year old schoolgirl from Loughton.

She’s really well informed though!
