I saw most of Allen's and Grealish's (and Coates, Harper and others) performances and, for their time, they were pretty good. I saw Lucas and Lea too, they were better. Nevertheless, the clogging football played at the time and the endemic physical violence means historic comparisons are meaningless. Unlike others, l don't look back at yesteryear through rose petal specs. Cisse has a greater range of attributes than any of them in my view.

Were you on drugs, or under the influence of anything else when you wrote this? He's not even the best midfielder in the past 10 years. Vincelot would have him on toast. What he is, is a very good fit to a poor needy side - and he's been very professional from the very first minute in going about his business. There's much to like about him right now.

According to Wikipedia, Cisse only made two appearances for Gillingham, he could have been injured or just out of favour. If fatty Evans doesn't fancy him we may have a chance of signing him in the close season.
