Still, we got all the important ones done like Craig Clay and Sam Ling through to June 2024, so mustn’t grumble.
Ross Embleton don’t rate him otherwise he’d have been signed up. They have only played him out of desperation of numbers and now they can’t drop him cos of his goals and performances. Although saying that they did so exactly that previously.
Embleton doesnt rate him ?

Do me a simple favour, show me when he played, when he scored, when he was dropped and then show me he was rated. Cos it’s not before these last few games I can assure you.

At a guess I would say that young players have to be managed properly and Sotiriou has only recently been ready for first team action .
Of course they do.

Given where he is now, it’s pretty clear that just 3-4 months ago he was also ready for being in and around the first team.

Ross ignoring him for the first half of the season, giving Alabi a chance instead, was a monumental disastrous f*** up.

If Fletch hadn’t seen the potential in him and given him the chance of playing football, I’m certain he’d still be with our kids. 😢

There must have been an initial reluctance to put the kid in a struggling team. Whoever recalled him from Dover well done.

I said the other week, he reminds me of Michael Owen, the movement, the pace, the goal instinct.

Funny he can get goals in this side but some of these players overs really rate cough Angol cough can't

Cough others cough

Angol was playing up top on his own. We are now, quite rightly, playing the front men a lot narrower and getting Ruel and a Wilko within playing distance of each other. And it’s paying off.

Strange that you don’t have it in for Wilkinson when he’s not scoring? What is your real issue with Lee?

And he’s nothing like a Michael Owen, of course. That’s nonsense.

Like I said on the other thread I reckon we should just give Sotiriou an extended run in the side, that means not dropping him when he goes a couple of games without a goal, which happens to all strikers.

There was no doubt that un-listing Alabi, which was an illogical decision anyway, hampered his progress.

Gotta get him a new contract ASAP though, if another club wants to buy him the tribunal would give us a derisory fee.

Also get the propaganda machine firing, if he can continue to score 1 in 2, a £1m fee isn't beyond the realms at the end of this year. Ollie Watkins played a season and a bit for Exeter, signed for Brentford for £1.8m, linked with other clubs at £20m+... with a sell-on clause it will be lucrative.

TBH this is the most likely way out of debt for us, I would rather be in League 2 and owe nothing developing and selling talent like Ruel, than breaking even rather than be in League 1 losing £1m year and having a £10m+ loan account balance.

Someone scoring 1 in 2 at this level needs
to go for £2m + , hopefully when the next kid
on the production line is ready.
