The only thing I don't understand is this : I didn't want to leave then and I still don't however that wasn't (isn't?) the majority view so you live with it. It now looks like there's at least a possibility that what I wanted will come to pass but I can't fathom why it's those MP's who wanted to leave (the exact opposite of what I want) who're doing the most to make staying in happen

Protest votes are intrinsically stupid. People end up giving support to parties who even less represent them. Go vote and spoil your ballot paper if you must protest.

Surely the time has come for Teresa May to step forward and be honest (ha) and say that with the present parliament in place, Brexit just isn't going to happen.

At least we've finally all got to see what our MP's are really about and whilst we are all made to think we live in a democracy, we really aren't.

Certainly feel that the system has backed itself into a corner. The vote was to leave but the'system' has too many gravy train members and that was unlikely to provide the exit strategy to back the vote. It will be interesting to see how many seats the con/lab club get in the mep elections and prior to that in the local version. I really hope that the British electorate has the guts to chuck as many of these self obsessed, chinless, here here merchants under the bus when the time comes. Although I am not at all sure that the UKIP or Brexit party will have anyone who can truly lead us into the new bright future.

People have always had a protest vote when they feel aggrieved. Back in the 60's it was the Liberal party that took the protest vote.
now however, you will have UKIP & the Brexit party, up against each other for the aggrieved leave voters votes.
So the choice between Nigel " Im a toff but I kid the people im one of them" Farage's party, & the very very right wing UKIP

Brexit is BS. Many voted for It as it was a protest vote and never believed it would happen. Make the nightmare go away, most people are sick of it and trust me it will not be good for anybody. For all those hardline Brexiteers you were never going to get your "Brexit Utopia" even if you even really knew what that was going to look like. We now know it was never going to be simple and frankly did anybody believe that it was this complicated. Who would have thought that a border imposed on Ireland was going to come back to haunt the UK almost 100 years on? I cant remember anybody really bringing this up with all the mistruths and lies that were doing the rounds prior to Brexit referendum. Brexit will likely quicken up the process of breaking up the UK. The Toffs mislead everybody and they are still misleading as many people who will listen to their nonsense to this day. Divorces are never easy and this was always going to be the most difficult of all divorces that will impact the many generations to come. Its going to be Brexit light or none at all.
