You seem to have forgotten a young chap called Ruel Sotiriou...Kitch’s Magic Toes wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 12:45 am First things first, signing an injured player is patently ridiculous and something Orient have done a few times recently to disastrous effect. I suppose we can be charitable and assume he will be match fit by the end of February, which will mean that we get 10 games out of him. It’s highly doubtful that we’re paying his wages, so I suppose in that sense it’s a gamble worth taking. No real downside.
However, I have to laugh at the indignation from others saying that we didn’t need another forward. In case it had escaped everyone’s attention, our senior strikers have barely notched a goal between them (11 in 82 appearances between them). Wilkinson is a seriously good footballer at this level, but has barely scored. Angol has decent feet but he looks disinterested most of the time and his last goal from open play was in mid-September. Harrold is a desperation substitute who should never have been given a contract in the summer and Dennis is made of glass and missed a host of simple chances when he was occasionally fit. They’re not a particularly effective or talented bunch; I’d go as far as to say that I’d be perfectly happy to never see the latter three of them in an O’s shirt again. Sterling can’t be any worse.

Slating the club off the back of false claims is not having a view. It's just his excuse to lash out. Would love to see some independent views from him but it's not going to happen.Disoriented wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 10:29 amHe is entitled to his views. Ross actual words were " He's got a bit of an injury ". Well OK then but how close is he to making a comeback .? If he's still Month's away then signing him is simply bizarre . Surely he would haven been better off staying at Spurs getting treatment for his injury .

But you're right...the key bit of info is when he'll be ready and that's an unknown. Not expecting to see him until March, at which point there's not much time to get up to speed.

Re: It's Stirling !
As he’s young he will benefit from a natural high fitness level. He will need to gain match fitness which is another level and touch and feel. Maybe 2/3 games on a gradual build up should hopefully suffice however, the medical department may well have a say in it depending on what he was out for of course.

My point was more that he may be with the squad in three to four weeks but that doesn't necessarily mean he would have recovered from injury by then.Thor wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 9:54 pmAs he’s young he will benefit from a natural high fitness level. Re: It's Stirling !
If he is with the squad he will have recovered, no one trains with he first team squad unless they are fit and medicllly fit to do so. His levels is all what will keep him back from the match day squad. Without knowing why he’s been injured for so long it’s hard to judge what happens next.
