I have a feeling, I know who he is talking about.
We can only speculate on that one RR but I wouldn’t mind betting there are a number of fans thinking along similar lines.

Then that makes that person’s position even more untenable.

According to the other board, he is back in his old job, which is nice after the way we treated him.

Also they say that Ling said last night that we’ve basically ruined him. If that’s true then ling is talking with completed arrogance over a man he never helped nor supported whilst he was with us. Remember previously he said he never spoke to Carl about any issues or shortcomings he may have had. Embarrassing how can he come out with such comments when he failed as a line mamanger to resolve the issues he may well feel needed addressing.

Nothing on the official AFC Bournemouth website that I can see to substantiate this.

Whats meant by 'we've ruined him'? Personally or career wise?

Yeah, I’m sure it was but unless I’m missing it there’s nothing to back it up on the Bournemouth website!

Had to laugh 😆. I just came across a great quote from Matt Porter in the attached East London advertiser article concerning Fletcher’s appointment back in October.

Career wise, he will find it hard to get a job managing a team now after our debacle regardless who holds most blame.

Obviously he didnt feel what Charlie Edinburgh
said in the same article.

While, Charlie tweeted: "I would be lying if I said this didn't hurt.

"I also challenge anyone who says Carl's job is impossible.

"What he joins is a club which is full of amazing support and love from top to bottom.

So Lingy seems pleased that we've ruined his career because WE chose him based on what sounds like an overly thorough interview process. WE then failed to back him, nor give him a transfer window and seem to be lording it up that we've now ruined a man's career.

A lot of nastiness at our club, it seems.

Not sure Lingy meant it like that, tbf. And he or the board ain't gonna go slagging off the culture here even if they thought our current staff and players were in the wrong.

There seems to be a bit of self back-slapping from the fact that we were ruthless and decisive when things were not going right. Which is fair enough, I suppose. If we had backed him at the time we would be seeing backroom shake-ups, players being Boco'd and so forth. But that might not be much different to now, as we are seeing the same things.

I don't think it was a case that Carl was brilliant in the interview and just crap once he got the job. I just think the board simply assumed he would go in and be best pals with the staff, or at least have some awareness to play the longer game like Justin did. But Justin signed on a 2.5 year deal, Fletcher signed on a 1.5 year, so perhaps there was pressure for him to make an impression straight away.

It seems mad that we have paid him up in full though, thought every manager would have some kind of termination agreement. Maybe its conscience money, Fletcher blabbing about what happened might be more damaging than a few months of pay.
