West Ham - losses of over £27m

In defence of their fans, they are prone to voting with their feet during matches. I don't feel that the owners are real football people, merely opportunists, who appear to have had it off thus far. That might change with a couple of seasons in the championship...

My mate at work is an Everton fan and recently went to the game away at West Ham. He reckons that we missed a bullet by not sharing the Olympic Stadium with them. He said it was a horrible experience and the stadium was soulless . He added no wonder the West Ham fans are upset . He reckons that stadium is not for football.

Its always been a dream of mine that WH, get relegated to the Championship, then after a couple of mediocre seasons get relegated again, into League 1.
This has happened to Man City, Leeds, Norwich, Leicester, Southampton & Sunderland, this century, so why not West Ham

…. I was much impressed recently when one of the owners admitted they may have made mistakes with some of their managerial appointments but they now felt they had the right man to take them forward. What? The same guy you let go about 18 months ago?

Unlike another East London club whose directors said the same and appointed the man they let go 40 days before?

Whether it was during the early battles for the use of the stadium (just as well Hearn lost that one) or during the dark days of Beelzebub there was one thing pretty consistent... West Ham fans laughing about our predicament and hoping we'd go bust. Hoping that comes back to bite them one day, relegation from the Prem would be a good start.

Compared to other clubs I also saw far more "hope they go bust" comments from WH fans online than any other club. Stuck out to me at the time in comparison to some other clubs who were really supportive.

We're only going through a blip but for them its an irreversible change.

I for one would welcome bringing in the old fanbase over to BR which would ramp up the atmosphere even more a few decibels. Get 'em in.

Previous to what I said, it seems that the owners have taken out or earnt £18.6m in interest. Ashley gives his money to the club interest free by comparison.

They will not be selling the club for another 2 or 3 years .

As any profit made would have to go to LLDC .

When the deal runs out it goes to Gold & Sullivan .

Makes you wonder why they turned down the £300-400
million Red Bull offered to them for the club.

Also Forest (two time European Champions), Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Coventry & Bolton. All with some degree of claim to be a club of comparable size, but only the last two encumbered with stadium issues - and look what happened to them

Can add Pompey to that list. From FA cup winners to league 2 in something stupid like 5 years wasn’t it?

No, it's not. Can I make a suggestion? So both clubs appoint as new manager / head coach someone who previously held role and was replaced

Both clubs accept they made mistakes

The outcome is both clubs have same person now in charge as they had previously replaced.
