West Ham - losses of over £27m

Re: West Ham - losses of over £27m
In defence of their fans, they are prone to voting with their feet during matches. I don't feel that the owners are real football people, merely opportunists, who appear to have had it off thus far. That might change with a couple of seasons in the championship...

Not sure there is much the fans could have done. Just like there was not much we could have done to stop Beelzebub.

My mate at work is an Everton fan and recently went to the game away at West Ham. He reckons that we missed a bullet by not sharing the Olympic Stadium with them. He said it was a horrible experience and the stadium was soulless . He added no wonder the West Ham fans are upset . He reckons that stadium is not for football.

And what's wrong with thatComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 1:49 pmCorrect, it was 1998/99 season. I was out by 12 months, and if anyone was going to point that out, it was always going to be you, wasnt it?spen666 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 1:41 pmMan City haven't been in 3rd tier of English football this centuryComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 1:16 pm Its always been a dream of mine that WH, get relegated to the Championship, then after a couple of mediocre seasons get relegated again, into League 1.
This has happened to Man City, Leeds, Norwich, Leicester, Southampton & Sunderland, this century, so why not West Ham

Unlike another East London club whose directors said the same and appointed the man they let go 40 days before?

I've only been there to watch athletics. I can't imagine watching football there. It must be horrible.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 3:55 pm My mate at work is an Everton fan and recently went to the game away at West Ham. I dont reckon Hearn was ever serious about sharing the OS. My feeling was, that he felt there was money to be made by objecting, and you know how much Bazza loves moneyRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 3:55 pm My mate at work is an Everton fan and recently went to the game away at West Ham. I agree. After all a good number of them come over to our place when WHU are playing away.

Whether it was during the early battles for the use of the stadium (just as well Hearn lost that one) or during the dark days of Beelzebub there was one thing pretty consistent... West Ham fans laughing about our predicament and hoping we'd go bust. Hoping that comes back to bite them one day, relegation from the Prem would be a good start.

Re the OS It was Hearn they where pissed at not the fans and we got a lot of support from WH Fans when the club was in trouble under Bullshitti
A fair few Hammers fans still go watch Orient

Compared to other clubs I also saw far more "hope they go bust" comments from WH fans online than any other club. Stuck out to me at the time in comparison to some other clubs who were really supportive.Lucky7 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 7:20 pmThat’s just not true is itgshaw wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 7:09 pmWhether it was during the early battles for the use of the stadium (just as well Hearn lost that one) or during the dark days of Beelzebub there was one thing pretty consistent... They got the hump cos of hearn and what he did and said.
We as a club should be reaching out to their disenfranchised fans as there are plenty of them and coax them over to Brisbane road. The ones I know are unhappy about ticket prices, the owners, the ground, the atmosphere it's just a sxxx show over there right now.

They got the hump with Hearn which, as much as I didn’t mind them giving him abuse, was patently ridiculous.

I for one would welcome bringing in the old fanbase over to BR which would ramp up the atmosphere even more a few decibels. Get 'em in.

Re: West Ham - losses of over £27m
Previous to what I said, it seems that the owners have taken out or earnt £18.6m in interest. Ashley gives his money to the club interest free by comparison.
Wow they are ripping off their own business! They charged 7 odd percent and only dropped it after protests.

Re: West Ham - losses of over £27m
They will not be selling the club for another 2 or 3 years .
As any profit made would have to go to LLDC .
When the deal runs out it goes to Gold & Sullivan .
Makes you wonder why they turned down the £300-400
million Red Bull offered to them for the club.

Can add Pompey to that list. From FA cup winners to league 2 in something stupid like 5 years wasn’t it?OyinbO wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 2:19 pmAlso Forest (two time European Champions), Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Coventry & Bolton. All with some degree of claim to be a club of comparable size, but only the last two encumbered with stadium issues - and look what happened to themComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 1:16 pm Its always been a dream of mine that WH, get relegated to the Championship, then after a couple of mediocre seasons get relegated again, into League 1.

No, it's not. Can I make a suggestion? Maybe instead of coming on here and trying to start arguments by posting drivel that you know to be untrue and indefensible you spend your time more productively and try doing something that will inject some positivity into an already too miserable world? Just a thought.

So both clubs appoint as new manager / head coach someone who previously held role and was replaced
Both clubs accept they made mistakes
But its not the same outcome?
The outcome is both clubs have same person now in charge as they had previously replaced.
So, which part of that is untrue?
How about answering stating why what I said is in your opinion untrue instead of resorting to personal attacks and criticisms.
