1 May 1993 - Leyton Orient 4-2 Bradford
Highlights -
Had just turned 6 years old and thought it was a wonderful experience. Little did I know what the next 27 years would bring... (or the next 50)

Home v Barrow in 1966, O's won 4-2
Been told it was Terry Mancini's debut, timing is about right so probably true

Thought I'd help by checking the Mancini bit … November 11 1967 … and he scored on his debut too!one o in huntingdon wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 2:36 pm Home v Barrow in 1966, O's won 4-2

I remember that game, a massive crowd and I stood half way up, around the middle part of the East stand. Long time ago, but I think it was early on that the Leicester centre forward Ken Keyworth scored to put them 1-0 up. After that it was mainly the Orient on top and I distinctly recall Gordon Banks pulling down the ( at the time ) bendy crossbar that resulted in a couple of Orient goal bound shots hitting the pulled down crossbar instead of going in for a goal, Banks was NOT my favourite player on that day. Around that time, Gordon was just starting out on his England career and by 1964 had displaced Ron Springett of Sheffield Wednesday as the number one choice for England keeper.KC & sunshine band wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 2:20 pm FA cup round 5

I can remember the excitement of going to the match, wearing a blue and white scarf and a rosette with the FA cup on - lots of rattles. Its funny cos I can remember that but sometimes cant remember what I done yesterday !
Leicester were playing really well around that time both in the old first division and the FA cup. The season ended in disappointment for them though losing 3-1 to Manchester United in the FA Cup Final and after gaining just one win from their final nine league games their title challenge collapsed and the Foxes eventually finished in a disappointing 4th position. All this after at one time looking like they might do the League and FA cup double.
