He was very easy going, a good communicator with the fans, built an impressive team which was probably the best since Bloomfield’s team. The season we got to the play offs was probably the best season for football, for atmosphere, for entertainment I’ve seen down the O’s. That’s what people remember and that’s what people believe he could do again.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 10:02 pmThicko fans want him because they're against Ross Embletons sentimental appointment. Hang on...
It’s a shame it ended the way it did, but he would without doubt unite the fan base, the club and the players. He is fondly remembered.
We have Ross the boss now and I truly hope he can deliver us to safety and stability.

Etr has a point though about wanting away to a bigger club, other than money from pay offs that didn’t work out too well. The Barnsley affair annoyed me at the time and Hearn was right to pull rank on him, it’s just a shame the nut job Italian gave him his out with his crazy behaviour.

Re: Russell Slade.........
Artlce 50, I’d love a different person in charge than Ross the boss, I’ve said so on here previously, I’ve said he’s not the right person and I’ve said it will end in tears and he club will be put back two years because of this appointment.
However, he is not going to be removed anytime soon, at least till the end of 2020 if not later. So do we moan and groan at the game? Send our poison down the terraces and onto the players? Or do we show support right now cos it’s needdd and time will deal with what it will deal with? So now it’s time to support him even if we don’t agree with it as the club is more important than one one person.

Re: Russell Slade.........
Slade isn’t a horse, his recent record is irrelevant and anyway, there can be many reasons why he has struggled lately. I know at Hereford all his good players have been injured since he took over. I watch them sometimes. Get him in!

Not with Ross still on board, stops them thinking when Slade moves on Ross comes back. Ross has learnt nothing in his time as head coach and never likely to.

Yes, but now he is desperate. His career is finished and there would be no pretence of angling for a better job as nobody else would want him.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:11 am Love old baldy bonce as much as anyone but c'mon. Also let's not forget Russ was always on the lookout for a better job whilst with us. Every manager wants to test themselves higher up but a certain discretion goes a long way and Russ lacked that.
He will be perfect for us.

Grimsby - P 43 / W 11 / D 12 / L 20
Hereford (To 4 /01/20.) - P 23 / W 5 / D 8 / L 10.
Those that want him back are living in the past. He "lost his touch" some time ago.
If Ross had these type of figures we would be over the moon, thats how bad it is

Re: Russell Slade.........
Should have stayed with the interim appointment to keep all options open.
However, that was fairly impossible given the vitriol on this forum.
Outside of Ross, Russ was and remains the only appointment for this time.

Dis come on we are not allowed to debate or have different views to his own. Plus how many times has he abused someone on here? He was asked to retract his last comment to upmisnterO and he didn't bother. He is just nasty to people at times and at other times he can be engaging. Still we all know his past don't we?Disoriented wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 9:24 amYou mean a differing opinion.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 7:10 amHasn't stopped you posting a load of poison on this forum.Thor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:21 am Artlce 50, I’d love a different person in charge than Ross the boss, I’ve said so on here previously, I’ve said he’s not the right person and I’ve said it will end in tears and he club will be put back two years because of this appointment.

Rightly many would say he does not win things but unless Ross turns it around we cauld be sliding into trouble hopefully we will be ok,I would feel with slade more likely he would steady the ship the thing we need is going into national league again, but Ross is the manaer and will stay the manager would think.
