Re: Louis Dennis
I said that a couple of weeks ago and no one picked up on it. The injuries, the lack of fitness in the squad, the handling of Turley and Jobi both prescribed rest and look how long they eventually were out for.
Something is not right, but I’m not close enough nor I suspect are any of us to understand what.

People have been talking about fitness and the sort of injuries we pick up all season.Thor wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 9:16 am I said that a couple of weeks ago and no one picked up on it. Ling choosing to ditch an effective performance team and bring in his own people over the summer - that might be a factorThor wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 9:16 am I said that a couple of weeks ago and no one picked up on it. One might even suppose that his are the actions of someone who is out of his depth, and trying to protect himself by surrounding himself with inadequates (eg RE)

Football is about contacts, always has been always will be. Not sure if this is a story or not, I guess it depends on the skill sets and if we’ve improved or regressed in those positions.

Nice of Embleflop to say we're all in this together, considering he's the one responsible for the mess in the first place, during that interview with DD, looking into Embleflops face you could see he knows we're in the proverbial and doesn't know what to do apart from blame everyone else, he is taking us down, get rid asap before it's to latetuffers#1 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 8:27 pm https://www.leytonorient.com/2019/12/26 ... ry-update/

It did strike me as odd when Michael Amoah left and got the kind of terse "thanks, bye" statement on the website reserved for employees leaving under, shall we say less than ideal circumstances.
One thing for certain the squad has gone from one that could physically run through brick walls for 90+ minutes to barely competing for 45. Physicality and fitness levels dropped massively, plus the constant stream of injuries with many of those sustained during the week or in warm-ups.

Terse indeed, especially for someone who was one of a tiny handful of staff who had stuck it out through the whole Beelzebub era, including many months of being unpaid. Not ideal for someone with a young family. Also someone whose methods had contributed to Orient's first championship in 47 years, gained through some particularly determined, energetic and relentless 95minute performances. Terse indeed.

In case anyone missed it at the time...

The work the fitness and physio team did last year keeping injuries down and fitness levels up seems to have been completely reversed this season

Re: Louis Dennis
Embleton has been pressurised into the managers job. I don't think he's suited, he's too young and inexperienced, and I don't like his tactics. But I don't think he's responsible for the mess we're in. It clearly lies above his station.point nine one eight wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 8:13 pmNice of Embleflop to say we're all in this together, considering he's the one responsible for the mess in the first place, during that interview with DD, looking into Embleflops face you could see he knows we're in the proverbial and doesn't know what to do apart from blame everyone else, he is taking us down, get rid asap before it's to latetuffers#1 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 8:27 pm https://www.leytonorient.com/2019/12/26 ... ry-update/

Re: Louis Dennis
Agree with that CCH. He's the prisoner of the DoF, who doesn't want someone with authority that might challenge him, and of the fans that drink with him and consider that being "one of our own" is qualification enough for the job. He feels a sense of duty to the club, and it's lovely, but steadier and more sensible people need to step in a get him out of the firing line, for his own sake as well as the club's.
