The board are smart

Makes sense to not let our season fizzle out into mid table obscurity.

Think of the scenes at the end of last home game when we secure the win to maintain our status in this league.

The optimism over the summer with plenty of "we won't make the same mistakes again" etc, will keep the faithful happy and result in maintaining season ticket sales.
