Jorome slew maldon and tipree
Rumours on twitter suggesting us and Colchester are offering him a trial. Scored against us in fa cup and has scored 28 goals in 32 games. Would you take him?

They are all part of Colchester Utd as I understand it. They all train with them daily, use their facilities and if they come good come back into the fold.

Re: Jorome slew maldon and tipree
If he’s going anywhere then it’ll be Col U, for the reasons others have stated.
Would he be a good signing here if it did somehow go through? Always difficult when it comes to non-league players trying to make it in the football league. I’d say worth a punt, but only if it was a relatively cheap gamble.

Don’t know which one he was, and I know we were bad, but they had several players who looked like they CDAJ. They also did in the next round on the tv.

What's really interesting to me is that he spent practically his whole career oop north, he's a Sheffield boy. His only real spell outside that region was his season or two with Chester in the north west. Then all of a sudden he's down in deepest, darkest essex. At semi-pro level that's a tad unusual, to move away from home, work, family.etc

Re: Jorome slew maldon and tipree
you would turn down Jamie Vardy - came from Stocksfield Park Steels?
What about Dwight Gayle from Stansted?
Michail Antonio -from Tooting & Mitcham?
Chris Smalling from Maidstone?
Jimmy Bullard from Corinthian Casuals?
Les Ferdinand from Hayes?
Ian Wright from Greenwich?
to name just a few. Its irrelevant who someone is playing for now.
How good a job he can do for orient is what matters

Re: Jorome slew maldon and tipree
I watch Maldon & Tiptree whenever I can and Jerome has been a huge part of their rise through the competitions.
It's true Col U have got some influence over M&T but most of the players that go back to Col U after signing for Maldon were origenally Col U players and are on loan to Maldon to try and get them fit or into mens football and getting used to the hard knocks but there are only a few of them anyway.
Since more people have become aware of Jerome he gets more tightly marked and his goals have slowed a bit ,having said that he is a game changer and doesn't need much of a chance ,for example the "Worldie" he scored against second placed Aveley ,absolute scorcher from 25 yds.
I personally don't think he is up to a relegation battle and first team football so he would not be an asset to Orient this season. I could be wrong though !
