Me neither , yet another p*ss take by asking for questions and then not asking any of them !RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 11:52 pmTop of the West. wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 11:31 pm I dont think any questions posted from on here were used and there were some good ones asked, they said they were using twitter questions makes asking on here totally redundant because it didn't fit someones agenda.
It was all pretty sanitised with a fair amount of arse licking and back slapping, Lee Boyce at one stage intimated that there was a mixed reation amongst fans to Ross's appointment and swiftly dug himself out by saying he thought it was a decent call.
Ross was his usual open self and came across well but the questions were predictable and not exactly challenging.
The only question that remotely covered something on here was in a quick fire question section when someone asked the pivotal -suit or tracksuit?
heavy stuff.
If there were no questions asked from on here then I won't bother listening to the recording .

That's none then?
Why bother asking for them if they're going to be ignored?

Elements of several questions were asked, if you listened you'd find that out, don't want to listen? Re: Questions for Thursdays Orient Hour Show 9th Jan with ROSS EMBLETON
So why did Trevor virtually take the show over then? I did listen it was a soft touch for Ross with nothing deep or probing asked. Very meh.Andy Gilson wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 8:47 am Thor, the 1st half of your question was used, as were elements of several questions from here. However some of the questions on here are stupid, insulting, and a complete waste of time.
Steve Tongue is a former BBC and LBC journo, he also was a football writer for The Independent Newspaper. He went through lots of questions sent in on here, the other forum, twitter and email and tried to put elements of as many as reasonably possible into his questions. We obviously wouldn't ask the stupid and insulting ones.
Thankfully other than on here the majority seem to have enjoyed the show.

Trevor "take over the show"? Really? I bet if you added it up he spoke for 2 mins max, likewise Lee, in fact I would say Ross spoke for over 90% of the show, which is how it should have been. If you didn't enjoy it, fair enough, that's your perogative, but in no way did any of the presenting team take over the show, they allowed Ross to talk freely.

Most questions came from Trevor not Steve. I never said he spoke more than Ross just he seemed to take over the show from a presenting perspective.
Re: Questions for Thursdays Orient Hour Show 9th Jan with ROSS EMBLETON
Why take 'elements' of questions?
I prefer the old Orient Hour format where the name of who was asking the question was said and the question read out verbatim (or as close as possible).
'How proud are you to be manager of Orient' is a nothing question and a waste of already limited time, what was the reasoning behind deciding to ask it? Everyone knows the answer to that question already.

What he means is one of their mates asked a question on twitter which had some similar aspects to a question raised on here.

Under normal circumstances we do read out a question verbatim and namecheck the person asking. However the number of questions from all outlets was very substantial and some very similar to each other, so they do get lumped together, sorry if you found that disatisfactory, overall I am pleased to say the response has been a positive one to the show, bar on here.

Great show as usual. We are lucky to have such access to the club through the podcast and radio interviews etc.
I am disappointed not to know Embers opinion on Paddington 2 yet, but I suppose that can wait for another day.

Andy too many sheep around I’m afraid. Your a true O, we’ve spoken plenty of times in the past face to face, yet you know that Ross the boss is not the answer. I’d love him to be, but I’ve seen nothing that suggests he is the answer to our question. The people just lap it up, whilst others like myself see it for what it is. I suspect you think the same as me on this role, yet probably won’t say it.

Thor, truthfully I think that he deserves a proper chance.
Now if having brought in some new faces and imposed his way on the troops it all goes wrong then obviously he knows what will happen. But honestly if you spend time in his company you realise he is no soft touch, knows his onions, genuinely loves the club and knows this is a chance for him to prove himself in management. If he can stabilise us this season and have us up around the play offs next season then I think he will win the doubters over. Cheers Thor.

Poor answer, the least you could have done was to read out in full a number of the most probing questions from the message board.Andy Gilson wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 12:12 pm Under normal circumstances we do read out a question verbatim and namecheck the person asking. So called lumping them together is not acceptable but is no more than many expected, being the club’s propaganda machine.
Certainly won’t bother listening anymore !

Re: Questions for Thursdays Orient Hour Show 9th Jan with ROSS EMBLETON
Ross did a lot of talking but what happened to the difficult questions ?
It was all a bit self congratulatory and nice and easy questions !
Do you like VAR ? Really ?
I thought the questions on here were mostly pretty good interesting and challenging but the questions featured were so nice . Yet Ross would have loved the tough questions ?

I wanted to hear him asked, " why have we only had 1 left back for the last 3 seasons?"

I wonder if there's any reason why the people on here wouldn't have a positive response to the show??? Come on fella, you can do this.Andy Gilson wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 12:12 pm

Sorry, moving on to show 150 now. Listening figures at an all time high, we must be doing it wrong.
I am sure we can survive without the 6 of you.

Thing is, one of could have a dump and broadcast it live online and get just as many viewers.
