Re: Declan Drysdale
If he comes in can only think one is heading out the door as 5 CBs seems excessive... will it be Ekpiteta or Happe that's the question

Re: Declan Drysdale
Think that contract is going to make him difficult to shift unless it's on loan with us retaining some salary or paying him a settlement to go permanently (which I doubt we'd do after recently extending his contract).
Would obviously be delighted in a bittersweet way to see him go if we could shift him - appreciative of his contribution last season but we need to move on and improve.

Re: Declan Drysdale
Coulson is going nowhere in my opinion and I also feel he will come good again, my rationale behind this revolves around a belief he was carrying an injury. Rest will do the Injury good.
Re: Declan Drysdale
Wishful thinking really. Why wouldn't someone say it if this was the case? The logical explanation is that he hasn't been good enough, which would seem to be the same as what happened to him at Cambridge, and he is a bit older now.
Barnet seem to have come into some money thanks to selling a player, I think they could be an ideal destination for Coulson. Do think he will be the type of player that isn't going to move far. Barnet/Boreham Wood/Dagenham seem about the best options.

Re: Declan Drysdale
To be fair he was awesome last season, been through grief and it may be affecting him as well.
I still have belief he will return!!

Re: Declan Drysdale
John Mackie was brilliant one season, the step up hurt him though.
With the tracking technology available today it'll be pretty obvious if someone is injured if it is affecting their running or endurance.
Not really sure why the club would persist in playing an injured player. Let us not forget he only came to us on loan because of a bad injury at Cambridge and needed fitness, he has also had bad injuries in each of the 2 seasons since.
With a bit more pace in the back-line he might be OK, he looks a bit exposed against quick players. He was also a major threat at set pieces last year, seems to have lost that although he is up against better players.

Re: Declan Drysdale
Coulson is now our 4th choice centre half. I have absolutely no issue with that. There are much more pressing improvements to the squad required.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 9:04 amThink that contract is going to make him difficult to shift unless it's on loan with us retaining some salary or paying him a settlement to go permanently (which I doubt we'd do after recently extending his contract).
